Re: The dress “brought back from thailand” by anotherfeather reported by “groove is in da heart” in the first response (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=31488225&ref=fp_feat_11)
I reported this item to etsy… Since then, she’s changed the listing to remove the bit about bringing the dress back from Thailand, so that’s alright then… But whoops, she’s left “thailand” in the tags.

This one really pisses me off. There is CONCRETE PROOF that admins know this seller is breaking the rules but they have done nothing.
Here’s the proof:

And here’s how Hey Michelle closed the thread.
“Hi there!
Each tag box should only contain one word or phrase. If you see a listing that puts multiple words that aren’t phrases into one tag box, please let us know by using the “report this item” link on the item page and we will look into it. If the seller is doing that with lots of items in their shop, you only need to flag one item and note this, as we will look into the rest of the shop from just the one report.
I’m going to close this thread because we can’t talk about sellers or listings which may be breaking Etsy’s rules (I know this wasn’t your intention, so don’t worry about it, though).
Thanks!”
I guarantee you this seller has been reported multiple times.
Perhaps they’re still “looking into it?”
Actually, the dress in now vintage…
I was waiting for that. The burden of proof is on the flagger, sooo….vintage it is.
Another shop that seems determined to hang onto a dodgy listing, instead of just blowing it off and staying focused on handmade. The shop has some unique found object pendants.
I really really really really want to know how to do that. Not that I would.
But just sayin….
It appears to be physically impossible, unless maybe it’s an undiscovered Etsy hack?
Sparkly Sparkle Shiny?????
I think this is Etsy’s response to complaints in the Forum that not enough ‘art’ is featured on the site.
On the FP now, and I’ve seen it featured before — admin loves this listing:

I think there’s still a few of these in the garage that will go in tomorrow’s trash pickup. Anyone want some ‘art’?
Seriously, what a slap at the real Art on Etsy.
Damn, I hate Comcast….this is the FP listing

Only 5 more days with those suckers as my ISP…can’t wait.
J’a know, I was listing something and my finger held down on the tag slot (didnt do it intentionally, it was just a letter repeated over and over) and it stopped after maybe 15 letters. Maybe they fixed it and made the tags limited? that would be a good thing.
did that make sense?
just saw these on the FP – are they vintage?!? http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=31181480
Used paint brushes…………what will be next? I seriously doubt they are 20+ years old.
Vintage paint brushes. Now I’ve seen everything. And it’s not like there’s something particularly cool or funky about the paintbrushes. They’re just standard, buy ‘em at home depot paint brushes! WTF! I’m just hoping the 10 item hearts are ironic or mocking or something.
Maybe I should clean out my garage, I bet I have lots of ‘vintage’ crap in there.
This seller deserves a call out.

I would love to see a “Bad Etsy Sellers” list – those who have horrible customer service, not just those who violate TOUs.
I just checked out the paint brushes…
First tag is ART?!?!
Another reason I never look in the “art” section anymore.

Amy, I can’t be positive, but those look like boots I remember people wearing in the late 80′s (in fact, I bought my boyfriend at the time VERY similar boots!). Minnetoka(sp) was also a popular brand then. I would be more inclined to say yes, based on the style.

I have a feeling she just doesn’t understand tagging, and is actually meaning to sell them as supplies. It’s quite hilarious that they’ve made it to the FP
