Tagging a PIF when it is very clearly NOT..

13 Feb

Edited to add: A PIF stands for “pay it forward” and is supposed to be a gesture of kindness and giving by not getting anything in return. AKA, “free” or .20 with low or no shipping.

TOP 10 ABUSERS:

1. Kharabgulab has a $50 PIF painting.
$25 Self-portrait painting.
$25 Scarf-portrait.
$20 Autumn painting.
And she uses the tag for all of her many sets of earrings as well. (over 10 more)
2. LoveOriginal has a $30
pink scarf
.
3. Redsundesigns $15 Liveandlearn pendant.
Wishing Pendant.
Coin Resin Pendant.
We stopped counting…she goes on and on mistagging with PIF..
4. DirtyAssSoaps $14 Resin Pendant
Earrings.
5. IvoryBySP who just decides to put PIF in the title of every single item in her shop.
6. Sassyclassybeads thinks that marking something down $11 means it’s a PIF.
7. judysnow. See comment above.
8. NoStoneLeftUnturned priced to move.
9. mabith and her $10 PIF marshmallows.
10. glittersniffer “As generous as this is, it’s almost like a PIF!” Um no.

Click on each link so they will see the link in their GA and hopefully stop mistagging.

If you would like to send me a top 10 list, I would love to see it and maybe post it in the future.

I mean hell, even my cesspool of a blog is done in my own name.

So you think you have got cojones for camping out under the name PussDaddy?? You sure told me.

Besides, the point of this blog is to get results. We will post abusers since Etsy will not allow it and admin will not take care of it.

We are like snarky do-gooders. So not sure why you feel threatened Puss.

    Peace out.

I wanted to comment in the other blog post but it said that comments were closed.

    Check this out on Etsy:

This is the first actual useful angry Etsy blog. These types of listings are what is actually going to kill etsy, so I hope admin keeps an eye on this blog.

okay. How about the PIFs that change 2 or 3 times MORE for shipping then for the same items that are NOT PIFs!

    Hi

It’s such a shame cos i clearly indicated on my shop home that “In support of International Childhood Cancer day on 15 Feb, all proceeds between 9 – 23 Feb will go towards the Singapore Children Cancer Foundation.” Hence the PIF tag.

I had wanted to support the charity with something that I had made myself. It’s a gesture of kindness but i guess it was misinterpreted by some who didn’t read my policies…

    Peace.

    p/s – i do like your blog

    Thank you for clarifying Ivory-

Just know that in the future, most people will visit an item through it’s listing. Therefore I cannot see what you say in your shop announcement or your policies. It needs to be written in the item description.

    Peace out.

Ivory- it’s very generous of you to donate the proceeds of your shop but I think having PIF in all the titles might cause confusion. Some Etsy users search for PIFs to find free items and they might purchase your listings expecting to get them for free, even though you do have prices listed. Not everyone reads the shop announcement. Also there are sellers who offer things for free but still leave the prices up so that Etsy gets their cut… at least people *used* to do that. Maybe you could add the name of the charity in the title. Just a thought 🙂

    estycalloout & imwithya

Thanks for the support. I do like to support my charity once in a while especially during special occasions. I do like to read policies and announcements as I’m always interested to know a little more about the seller that I’m buying from. But i guess not everyone is like me and i do agree that not everyone/everything on etsy nowadays is handmade or the like. Nonetheless, I’m glad that someone pointed this out to me and to this blog. I will now add whatever that needs to be told in the item description! Thanks everyone for the suggestion. 🙂

    Love.

Wow. This is a whole other level of… something.

Glittersniffer jumps on the bandwagon with whatever is selling. Check her early sales- notebooks, religious bracelets, shit with birds on it, hairclips, barrettes, cigar boxes, then supplies, some penis candy, magnets, fabric- I doubt any of that was made by her either.

All her so called handmade makeup is actually purchased and repackaged. She makes none of it. Notice how she doesn’t put materials on any listing or anywhere. She has no clue what’s in some of that shit, and doesn’t care.

I’m just surprised more people don’t ask her what is in that garbage?

Besides the fact she copies other sellers left and right.
