Reseller Call Out- WendyStory

17 Feb

untitled-1
One of our readers pointed out this shop WendyStory to us. It seems they flag and flag yet nothing happens.

It seems that the sticker sets are correctly labeled as supplies, yet the other 300 or so items such as the Hello Kitty LED clock is in accessories, all of the stationary is in paper goods, and her “designed in foreign countries” hair accessories all get thrown into the handmade categories with no closure from Etsy.

In every listing there is information on the brand and sometimes a scan of the copyright info from the company on the back of the products. How is this not enough for Etsy? Is it because sometimes she takes store items and re-photographs them in her home? That she includes her thumb gives it the “homemade” vibe?

This shop is out of control and needs all of us readers to flag. Maybe if 300 people flag it today, Etsy will get the fire under it’s butt that it needs. Open a month & a half too long guys! Shameful!

I have flagged and flagged and flagged as well, and nothing is ever done. Nothing. Zero.

Why don’t they just add a section for all the junk that is non-vintage, non-handmade, and non-supply? They could still eat up the listing fees, and no worries for everybody else.

that seems like the best solution since people will forever keep trying to sell their junk there. Maybe have a category called JUNK.

Her shop has 0 items in it today… I’ll be interested to see how this develops. Some of her items were legitimate commercial crafting supplies like rubber stamps (and very cute ones, I will admit). Hopefully Admin sets her straight and – most importantly – monitors her shop once it is open again.
