What shops do you flag with no results?

17 Feb

I would love to take a look at them and use them for future posts. So throw me a bone and let me know who you flag over and over?

http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6728812 – especially the plastic hair clips in their commercial packages that are “designed in foreign countries”, and of course the Hello Kitty clock that I mentioned previously.

http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6549576 – her items are all in the handmade categories, but they are all second-hand (she says so in many of her listings, naming designers, etc.). Probably she just doesn’t understand the rules/categories, but flagging seems to make no difference.

Other things I have flagged repeatedly with no results are: commercially produced books in the handmade Books & Zines category, commercially produced scrapbooking supplies in the handmade Paper Goods category, items in the Vintage category that are made with vintage components but are not themselves a vintage item (altered vintage), commercial supply items and patterns that also have the tag “handmade” but are not handmade, and items like vinyl decals and gift boxes that are in Plants and Edibles because they have pictures of plants.

Give me a break. They are doing it to get around the not vintage or handmade pesky rule. People think it’s cute. I think it makes Etsy look like a garage sale!

I’d like to call out this shop. I can’t figure out how it violates Etsy rules. Is this stuff vintage or really handmade?

Any shop that appears with this search:

    113????? For heaven’s sake.

Try doing a search for “chainmaille” sometime. It’s ridiculous that seasoned sellers with 1,000+ sales continue to post their charms on chains in the CHAINMAILLE category. I flagged each mistagger for the first 15 pages for 10 days and NOTHING HAPPENED so I’ve given up.

Check out this shop, mistagging galore!

Tired of her stuff coming up in most of my searches, flagged numerous times, as usual admin does nothing!

There are lots and lots of shops that repackage bulk fragrance oils, then list them in the “Handmade: Candles” category. These are Supplies: Commercial at best, since the only handmade part is pouring oils from a large bottle into a little bottle and jacking up the price.

If I’m wrong, and these sellers actually CREATE the oils, I will apologize.

seriously – this stuff does not look handmade – looks like wholesale ebay stuff.

they are on the frontpage this morning.

I’ve flagged this shop which is blatantly violating TOU by using their banner as an advertisement for their website with a 50% off coupon code, their shop announcement also directs customers to their website to buy using coupon codes.

The shop announcement contains the following information:

Coupons have to be used on my instant download site

My online website has been doing great and Thanks so much from all The ETSY customers you guys are great, I am so happy and excited, keep in mind I will have nearly 10,000 files to choose from when I am done, hopefully I will start adding about 50-75 files a day, keep checking back for new coupon codes each week!

    is the same as

    is the same as

and those three shops often have the same things as these “designers:”

Found some of the same things on Novica (the designer’s name was Bursis) and a wholesale site (can’t remember the name)

Found this seller’s stuff: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5613379 all over Ebay, some with the same pictures. She also has a website at http://www.mattieleas.com where she still has the wholesale codes listed nexted to her products. Her listings (like this one http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=14377277) look a lot like this ebay seller’s listings: http://cgi.ebay.com/MULTI-BROWN-GREEN-CERAMIC-BEAD-NECKLACE-EARRING_W0QQitemZ230339138342QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item230339138342&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A4%7C294%3A30
