I didn’t know you could cram that many words into a title, *but* the reason sellers do this is usually because they are used to selling on ebay where the search is based on the title rather than tags, plus it supposedly helps with google searches. It must work, since they are definitely selling, but I think those types of titles detract from the look of the shop.

I always prejudge big titles like that, for some reason I think the seller is greedy or something …. any way I get bad vibes from big titles so I just never click on them.

What I can’t stand is all these metal wings from Michaels all over the place!

What gets me is that she thinks this wing pendant is supposed to be religious, sci-fi, and have something to do with hobbits and gnomes? And don’t get me started on “sterling silver plated”!

    How’s this for a title?

“Porcelain celadon glazed mug with warm navy blue and micro encapsulated cadmium patterns flowing glossy glassy watery turquoise hazy blue green amber celadon reminiscent of fish, sea life, video game squiggles, retro spirals and tumbling jelly rolls”

I know it looks “Ebayish” but I can’t bring myself to hold it against them. Etsy only promotes their BFFs and a handful of faves. If you want to get found and you’re not Rosie O’Donnell or Rob Kalin’s special little friend, you can’t wait for Etsy to give you an ounce of promotion. It’s all on YOU to find ways to get found. If they’ve figured out how to pull in more customers via google searches then I say “Good for them!”

They left out so many other tags they could have used!
“goth gothic retro steampunk octopus wiccan pagan goddess upcycled handmade vintage rockabilly lady gaga repurposed”.
