Worst Feedback Record on Etsy?

22 Apr

I’ve always wondered how bad someone’s feedback would need to be before Etsy closed up someone’s shop or account.

These examples show it might be alot. Who has the worst feedback record on Etsy?

*The Buyer BeadworkPaula has 156 negatives!!! Really Etsy?!?
*The Seller gemmafactrix has 21 negatives and 56 neutrals.

the seller tinymeat has 118 neutral and 59 neg, but 3552 positive. most of his neutrals and negs have been for really slow shipping as apparently he makes most of his wallets to order. cool shop, though, and a very successful seller.

anyway – nice how they let buyers order and order without paying, but they close highly successful shops for one, unproven, report of a $4 item not being shipped, with no confirmation of anything. Wait, no, they do that like 20 times in a row, each time on a Friday at 4 pm before they go for their precious ‘weekend’.

‘We value weekends’ Christ, Kalin is a loser.

BTW, I don’t even think tiny meat makes his wallets to be honest.

Crap. Did you read the feedback (left for sellers) on BeadworkPaula? Someone needs some meds.

    That feedback for BeadworkPaula’s crazy.

Even the posititve feedbacks say no payment/don’t buy from me again, should be a neg.

I almost bought some things from gemmafactrix, but between her feedback and her reputation for liking to start trouble off-Etsy, I had no problem convincing myself that I could find something else I liked even more. Nobody’s perfect, but some people are more worth the bother than others.

And that BeadworkPaula is something else! That her account goes untouched while other people get shut down over things they didn’t even do is amazing. What’s her secret?

  6. Kraken Mosaics April 23, 2009 at 1:23 pm #

It’s not just the feedback that was left for BeadworkPaula…the BEST part is what she says in return. Check out “Feedback left for others”. Priceless.

Gemmafactrix is on an extensive vacation right now yet didn’t close her shop. WTF?

  8. JK April 23, 2009 at 3:06 pm #

Krakenmosaics — woah, you aren’t kidding! And wow. . .check out page 9 of gemmafactrix’s buyer feedback, about 11 down. Guess who’s there?

Some people on Etsy scare me.

You know, I’ve been poking around Google and it seems our Miss Paula is considered some sort of bead expert, can’t find where she actually sells any work, though. She has written a number of articles for about.com and is one of their “experts”. She either needs many meds or has some sort of vendetta going against Etsy. maybe she previously owned a store under another name and got kicked off? Wasn’t there some bead person who was also selling cookies who wasn’t making either? may poke around more for fun……

That was Ullja, I remember the hoopla.

A couple of sites that discuss it (read the comments):

For bad feedback, check out ChocolatVintage. 42 positives, 11 negatives – and if you read the comments, even some of her positives should have been negative.

I had no idea Gemma had been banned, I thought she was just doing a self-banning…lol

What was the drama surrounding that? I don’t remember anything going on with her involved…

Oh man, I’ve been waiting for payment from a buyer for about a week now.. it’s beadwork paula! I wish I’d seen this site earlier.

    >>>
my guess is she’s moving her stuff to her postcards from camp store, which Ive flagged twice now because she doesnt disclose her other store.
I also guess that if they finally DO force her to disclose it, she’ll just have admin close the gemmafactrix store so no one can see her feedback (since we dont have to disclose closed/deleted stores)…

Here is another little update on Gemma, she opened another new shop here.

    http://www.etsy.com/shop/brookearin

I guess she managed to escape all that bad publicity from her lousy feedback.

  18. Julie July 16, 2010 at 11:34 am #

and she (Gemma/Brook) is still selling under her new name/s without disclosing her old account!! I feel badly for anyone who would buy from her without being aware of her history.

    Avoid this shops:

    fairycartel

This person is a scammer / doesn’t ship!

  20. Yogi October 11, 2010 at 4:54 pm #

edmdesigns artificially inflates her poor feedback (11 negatives and 24 neutrals!) by buying supplies, faking her sales and leaving herself feedback, etc:

    http://www.etsy.com/people/edmdesigns/feedback

She is also known for stalking, copying, and harassing other steampunk sellers. Just disgraceful.

  21. ZJS December 23, 2010 at 12:07 am #

mypolkadotprincess undertook too many orders for the holiday season, and as a result has not shipped MANY of the orders, and Christmas is in 2 days. She also buys from herself to inflate her feedback.

BlackBaroque has 22 negative for doing nothing about damaged and lost items, and for incredible rudeness. Just check out this convo:

    http://www.regretsy.com/2011/10/13/how-to-respond-to-neutral-feedback-and-keep-a-customer-for-life/

  23. May December 5, 2011 at 7:09 pm #

Ugh, the ppl from BlackBaroque are HORRIBLE! I had to deal with them and they are extremely condescending, insulting and harrassed me.

  24. shannymarie December 6, 2011 at 7:53 pm #

I haven’t had a bad transaction from Etsy. YET. Everyone I’ve bought from has been A+ with communication, EXCEPT recently… MetalStop hasn’t replied to a single convo since my purchase on Dec 1… I know, it’s only Dec 6… maybe I need to relax… but geez, an email reply would be appreciated! Especially on an $80 purchase…

  25. sillybilly July 7, 2012 at 3:57 pm #

check out the seller theyoungbones. i can’t believe etsy has not shut this shop down. you can even see that she obviously left fake feedback to try and raise her rating. there are several items that the feedback was left the same day as the item was purchased. i really don’t understand how etsy lets these things happen. i have hear so many stories about them shutting down shops for tiny ridiculous things, yet this happens and…nothing.

Just got an order for a vintage clock from this person Singapore. I looked at the fb she’s left for others; now am scared to fill the order – think I might cancel even though that’s probably going to have her leave a negative for me – but I think she’s trying to get refunds by ordering things that are unlikely to make it to her intact – I’d rather keep the clock safe since she’ll probably give me a neg. in any case: http://www.etsy.com/people/patlaw/feedback?ref=pr_feedback
