Psycho Buyer & Horticultur-NO

I’m not sure if you would consider this a “call out” but one of my teammates is having an interesting experience with a buyer. She claims to be new to Etsy and does not know how to pay and is asking for free shipping (the seller does not offer free shipping). She also claims to have a discount code and wants to know how to use it. The seller communicated to the buyer that she does not offer discounts through coupon codes and that she does not offer free shipping. Buyer still has not paid and is now trying to guilt the seller into offering her free shipping. Also, buyer has purchased from Etsy before and it appears that her guilt trips worked on other sellers. Her user name is juliesgrammas and she says her name is Sue.

in the GG for horticultural-- nice job of vetting, Etsy Admins. This is not vintage, but made of vintage
components. This happens A LOT ecause the people who pick this shit DO NOT KNOW, CARE ABOUT, OR ADHERE
TO the Terms of Use.

Wow. Please report psycho buyer! What a scammer. Not sure that Etsy will actually do anything though.

Laura–ARGH! They aren’t even trying to pass it off, just readily admitting yard sale.

Now that anthropogie dress really pisses me off, and this seller has sold plenty. No excuse for piss-poor ethics. Fuck Etsy and fuck the garage sale resellers who don’t even bother trying to fake vintage.

I think the Etsy weekend deals with free shipping and discounts confuses some buyers.

They think Etsy is one site (because, hmmm, they brand it that way), then they get confused when a discount code one seller gave them doesn’t work for another seller, or that all the free shipping promotions by Etsy admin in emails & Storque don’t apply to all shops.

I think this problems stems from Etsy marketing fail.

You can lead a horticulture, but there is no leading a psycho buyer anywhere unfortunatley.

I like how it says $25 in the item description but they are listed as $85. Can you say reseller??

BRAZENbreeze is part reseller (the pendants) and part thrift shop seller who likes to put vintage items in handmade categories. It seems to me that she did not take all the photos for the items in her shop. Unfortunately, I think Etsy would be happy to have her stay open as long as she lists her pendants as supplies and puts her used goods in the vintage category. She may have put the small pendants on earring findings herself…who knows?

Oh god Brazenbreeze even has one of those figurines that whatshername had… I think I recall a lively discussion here that they aren’t vintage right? har har
