But wait, you can buy shoes too!
I’m sure you can think of all the ways to wear these incredibly comfortable boots from TSUBO.

Ugh. Etsy doesn’t seem to care if you sell these Indonesian bone/horn earrings. I’ve reported sellers of them many times but in case any one else wants to try again…

Somehow it’s refreshing to see that not all resellers on Etsy are ‘Longaberger Ladies’, in terms of style. Or, maybe not.

I don’t care if resellers are offering cutsie snowman pendants from Coldwater Creek or Indonesian dragon earring plugs the size of dinner plates I’m still going to report them when I come across their listings. Not that Etsy admin give a shit. They probably have some of these earrings in the gift guides.

imwithya, I think this type of jewelry was on the Flaggy blog ages ago.

Found it — more like the same shops. The flags didn’t stick.

I sorta liked this seller until I saw she is selling Dollar Tree Store items as vintage. These birds are 3 for $1 right now. I bought a ton for my sister in law only last week.

Looked on the Dollar Tree website but couldn’t find a link. They come on the same green card and she cut the tab off the top.

Here’s a link to the birds in red:

I convoed the bird lady and she removed them.

Etsy IS Ebay. Etsy handmade is dead. It really feels bad that we handmade artists work so hard and Etsy administration only cares about getting their fees…..fees from mass produced JUNK. It is so depressing. Does anyone know of any integrity in the online world?

Come on, at least put a little effort into the description… those resellers are getting lazy…

It’s just so much EASIER to order from wholesalers and use their pictures and descriptions! Etsy doesn’t care so why not!? I think I’m going to switch over to the dark side soon and become a reseller because I could really use some extra cash. 🙂

Love the flaggy blog. Speechless and disgusted about the resellers 😦

    what is the flaggy blog?

  14. Gila November 30, 2009 at 5:28 am #

Well, at least she is honest. Plain dumb stupid – but honest.

  15. GernBlanston November 30, 2009 at 6:09 am #

Nevermind. I found the flaggy blog.

I’d like to know why the bone earring listing includes “cheater” as a tag. :-/

  17. imwithya November 30, 2009 at 6:25 pm #

Sarah- I think because that style of earring looks like the kind for stretched ear holes but is actually for regular pierced ears. There are fake plug earrings too… I guess you’re “cheating” by trying to look like you’ve stretched your ears when you haven’t???

This shop has been cleaned up! Yahoo!

kismetics is gone, but monkeymeditates, sanfranblissco, organiclove and organiclove2 are all still in business and still selling the same imported jewelry

These earrings are insanely difficult to find. I purchased a number of them in an attempt to provide a service that I myself would appreciate. The person who contacted me and complained was condescending and bitchy. It made me like etsy less to be honest.

I highly appreciate the above shops who provide this HANDMADE imported jewelry, and you’re all ragging on people who are actually providing accessibility to handmade items and I really don’t appreciate it.

Don’t you all have something better to do? Go hassle the dollar store resellers.

And by the way, to “anonymous” I am NOT gone, I make fantastic handmade items and I’d appreciate it if you’d take your nose out of my business and put it where it belongs.

  21. Liza December 23, 2009 at 11:08 am #

I did NOT use wholesaler’s photos, I took them myself.
And I won’t even begin to talk about the “altered items” made by the person who called me out.
