Here is a dog bed she claims is “vintage”, and that she paid over $700 for years ago.

Was $380 when it was new, just a few (four) short years ago. And she lifted a couple of the pictures.

Shop is full of new Chanel, Gucci, and Coach. New, gently used at best, that she is calling vintage. Sick sick sick.

Check out her feedback-http://www.etsy.com/feedback_public.php?user_id=8157532

“Well, I received the clutch today and I’m a little disappointed since it ended up not being a real Chanel, but meh, it’s partially my fault for not looking into it further or hard enough. If my money actually goes toward the earthquake in Haiti then I guess I shouldn’t complain, but at this point, I have no idea.”

“Dont bother!!! Fake merchandise!!!!”

That shop is one of the worst on etsy.

Damn! I feel bad for her customers! Looks like they’re paying a LOT of loot for run-of-the-mill fake handbags.

But then, OTOH, in this day, how can people not know the market is saturated with fakes. I would not be buying my Chanel and Gucci of f*cking Etsy!

  3. MadeByM**** February 12, 2010 at 6:08 am #

vintage, accessories, collectibles, bags and purses, home decor, diaper bag, handbag, leather, pet

These are the tags used for a pet bed?????? WTF!

  4. Bedazzled VONdom February 12, 2010 at 8:56 am #

It looks like she combed through the trash at the end of the flea market day. I don’t feel sorry for the customers though. If you’re old enough to buy a computer you really should know better. A kick in the financial pants might teach them something. Or not. A fool and her daddy’s money are soon parted. Way of the world.

I just want the crap off Etsy and back on eBay where it belongs!

Speaking of which, watching Etsy go down the tubes of integrity is eerily similar to what was occurring on eBay about oh ten or so years ago. It’s as though the hipsters have been taking lessons in how to shit on reality and logic for the sake of a paycheck.

  5. Em February 12, 2010 at 10:22 am #

One of the feedback she left for a buyer:

Um, this ain’t ebay, hun, although that’s where you obviously belong.

  6. ohmeohmy February 12, 2010 at 11:53 am #

Hah! It says the bed is filled with “memory foam”…memory foam was not even around 20 years ago!

  7. WoodenBoard February 12, 2010 at 12:08 pm #

Making money off Hatti now aren’t we?

This store reminds me of a large flea market near me.. it used to be a lovely place to stop and buy fruit, veggies, and handmade items. Now you’d be lucky to find something handmade among the fake Gucci bags, Nike shoes, and Apple Bottom jeans.

  8. JajieBo February 12, 2010 at 1:52 pm #

That shop is quite nasty. Trash-city.

  9. Kat February 12, 2010 at 3:22 pm #

As someone who collects REAL vintage things (mostly 1920s-1950s), it hardcore pisses me off to see stuff like that tagged as “vintage.” Soon that word won’t mean anything anymore. Barf.

  10. WTFISAPDF February 12, 2010 at 6:02 pm #

Kat, I think Etsy redefined vintage long ago.

It ain’t what it used to be.

  11. Call Out Grrl February 12, 2010 at 11:33 pm #

Oh look. Lucinda’s back to her tricks. What a surprise.

BusinessLetters (aka DesignedbyLucinda) asks the forum if they consider writing a form of art. Gee, I wonder why she’d ask that?

Most of the sycophants say, “Oh, yes! Of course! We love writers!”

    But someone dares to disagree.

And by some ever-so-strange coincidence, DesignedbyLucinda (aka BusinessLetters) pops up and prods the naysayer repeatedly.

  12. WTFISAPDF February 13, 2010 at 7:48 am #

If she’s truly a professional writer, like she claims in her shop announcement, she wouldn’t even be asking the question.

I’m a cartoonist. In my profession, I’m considered a writer, not an artist.

Duh, what’s with the personality swapping? She must really love the art of conversing with oneself.

  13. Em February 13, 2010 at 8:29 am #

I could resist that thread. Seems that I can resist many of ’em, these days. I’m really glad not everyone flocked to her sides to defend her. She’s not an artist or a crafter. I wanted to ask about her professional writing credentials, but my better half stopped me 🙂

  14. WTFISAPDF February 13, 2010 at 9:03 am #

Oh just ask the question. I’d love to see her answer, if she ever comes back to the thread. She seems to be MIA

  15. Call Out Grrl February 13, 2010 at 9:46 am #

Oh, someone DID ask why she was answering her own thread with a different screen name.

    She’s not returned to the thread since then, surprisingly. (-;

  16. WTFISAPDF February 13, 2010 at 10:41 am #

Still no sight of her. Hmmmmmmmm

  17. kitten February 13, 2010 at 11:52 am #

Still no sight of her. Hmmmmmmmm

Yay, hope she stays the hell out of the forums for good!

  18. barbara kruger February 13, 2010 at 4:29 pm #

Just stumbled upon this seller, it looks sooo wholesaled or if handmade she is loosing money big time: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Bridal360Degrees

  19. Smartass February 13, 2010 at 4:53 pm #

Lol, Lucinda probably is sitting around with her foot in her mouth big time.

I would like to see her excuse for using her other account to harass the naysayer on the thread, though. And then a reason for her sudden extended absence.

  20. RocksInMySocks February 13, 2010 at 5:07 pm #

Back to Lucinda /Business Letters/Attention Whore. This is her profile info for the BL shop:

I have been writing for several decades, ever since I self published my first book at the age of 5 in 1966 🙂

Writing is like breathing for me — second nature. Learning Diplomacy and Tact came later but I know how to couch words nicely.

This is so comical! It’s rare to come across someone who has as high an opinion of themselves as she does.

I find it hysterical that people are calling her on her continual attempts to promote that stupid ass BL shop. Everytime she starts a new thread like that, she makes a bigger fool out of herself. It’s even more hysterical that she’s hiding like a chickenshit and crying over her keyboard instead of coming back to the thread and couching some “Diplomacy” and “Tact” at all the people who are sick of her pathetic pleas for attention.

  21. WTFISAPDF February 13, 2010 at 6:10 pm #

    AMEN to that Rocksinmysocks

  22. WoodenBoard February 13, 2010 at 6:39 pm #

I thought she was over it and moving on? Not very professional to go back on one’s word..

  23. Crazy Cat Lady February 13, 2010 at 7:01 pm #

You know, this is why I said earlier that I don’t think there’s something quite right upstairs. And I don’t say that lightly, it’s from “knowing” her on line for almost 10 years. She asks for “honest” opinions but will grill the mother-fuck out of you if you disagree even the tiniest bit because she wants to “understand”.

Oh, and she’s an after-midnight poster. So she’ll probably be back after (or around) midnight EST.

  24. WoodenBoard February 13, 2010 at 7:09 pm #

That almost makes me want to stay up and watch.

  25. WTFISAPDF February 14, 2010 at 4:40 am #

Her long, rambling response made no sense.

    Excuses, excuses.

  26. Em February 14, 2010 at 7:37 am #

God, she is so dense. Creative writing = creating something that never existed and elicits an emotional response from the reader.

Business writing = learned skill that has rules and requires a good handle on the English language. Meant to get the point across and sound professional.

There’s a difference. Anyone can write for a business after learning how, not everyone can write a novel (at least a decent one).

  27. JonhCocktoasten February 14, 2010 at 8:45 am #

    Another hot mess:

  28. JajieBo February 14, 2010 at 9:40 am #

I really hate to bring up such a tiresome topic, but I thought that Lucinda’s services didn’t fall under an acceptable category on Etsy… so why is she stil there? Were they deemed acceptable after all? I think I missed something (or maybe I tuned it out).

  29. crapgawker February 14, 2010 at 9:56 am #

JohnCocktoasten – you’re not by any chance a “Fletch” fan are you? *giggles* I crack up every time I see your name.

  30. Crazy Cat Lady February 14, 2010 at 9:57 am #

Hey, I was right! She came back at 1am EST…with a note she’d be back in another 20 hours. LOL. If only I knew exactly when I would be back in the forums, and what my forum habits were like that!

  31. JonhCocktoasten February 14, 2010 at 10:28 am #

I am indeed, crapgawker. Nice catch.

  32. WTFISAPDF February 16, 2010 at 8:15 am #

Well, she was asked by a couple people about her professional writing credentials and she vanished from the thread.

I think that sums up concisely the answer.

  33. RocksInMySocks February 16, 2010 at 3:34 pm #

She’s probably trying to “couch” up some fake credentials that we’ll all swallow. Of course, a couple of hours later, we’ll be vomiting them back up when we finally realize we’ve been fed a pile of shit. She’s so talented like that.

  34. WTFISAPDF February 16, 2010 at 4:55 pm #

That self-published book she wrote when she was five or six probably won her the Pulitzer.

  35. Laura February 17, 2010 at 10:12 am #

Does it seem crazy to anyone else that Rob is running around closing threads that are over 10,000 posts yet he won’t remove items like this or that horrible 2000 Pig?

  36. notvintage February 18, 2010 at 7:08 am #

It’s not his job to remove anything but posts in the forums. Some other asshole is. RobW is just a sugary-sweet over-diplomatic mealy-mouthed figurehead.

Nobody is going to do shit, and it’s his job to do crowd control. Period.

  37. Continued Amazement March 8, 2010 at 3:57 pm #

One of 1VINTAGETREASURES victims in the $850 fake Chanel bag scam has listed the fake that she bought from 1VINTAGETREASURES at a (loss) $730 price, and calls out 1VT in the descriptions. Guess since Etsy won’t act on flags and fraudulent and phony designer bag sales the victims might start listing their bad buys on Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=42118946
