Yes, we have talked about her and her photo nabbing before: but this, *no pun intended* takes the cake. Was directed to a post on a forum about her:

Here are 2 incredibly rude and ignorant responses I got from BellasBeautyandmore on Etsy when I very politely asked her to remove our copyrighted dog soap photo from her Etsy store. I hope you’re on here beautiful Bella because I’m quite sure these ladies & gents will take good care of you.

Sent by BellasBeautyandmore on March 05, 2010:

Aww, thats too bad! I’m gonna keep using it though dear.
It looks just like the ones I make.
I’m actually closing my Etsy store soon, but I have my own that I have opened. I use the photo there too. But theres no one to complain to, because I own and run the site.
There was no copyright on the pic anyway.
So,someday soon it won’t be here on Etsy, but I will be using it permanently on my webstie store, and on my blog.
Awww…too bad,so sad kitten!

Sent by BellasBeautyandmore on March 05, 2010:

It didn’t really do well here,on Etsy, like my other products did,but it does really well on my new site…just though you’d like to know!
Thanks for stoppin’ by!

Here’s another site of hers I found called Bella Boo & Charlie Too but I don’t see our dog soap on there…. yet.

I’m not sending a response because she doesn’t deserve another moment of my time, but I did contact Etsy and I did forward this to our lawyer.

Seems she also did an alchemy request for a fake college degree
She even wrote on her myspace page that she was on Dr. Phil for her crazy rage, even in front of her 5 year old-

Another question would be that everything about her Facebook, Myspace (even the Alchemy request) has her located in Elmira, NY yet her shop says Grand Rapids?! Shady. Very Shady.

You can report her (or anyone else who does this on their own site) to her domain registrar (ie, networksolutions, godaddy, etc). Be sure to use the DMCA form. You can find the .pdf of the DMCA by doing a web search.

People who steal other people’s photos suck.

    Look at the shop announcement:

    Yo momma
    BellasBeautyandmore’s Shop Announcement

Thanks to all of my customers, and those of you whom I have bought from, and whom have made custom items for me.
I am moving my shop elsewhere, off of Etsy.
I have found so many of you to be wonderful, and great people to work with. But, quite frankly, I have also found many of you on Etsy,to be rather obnoxious. “Artsy” people on here bother me, they think that they are above reproach, and are also very condescending. If I wanted your opinion…I would have asked, but since I didn’t …your messages to me have been fruitless. On my new website, I will use ANY photos I want. If you see some of yours,I guess thats just too bad,so sad. You will have no one to complain to,because I own the site, and run it myself…Awww..poor baby, you don’t like that I use your photos for my products that look the same? Too bed.I’d love to see who you are going to bitch about it to. Hell, even Etsy never did a thing about it,never even received word from them about any issues. Only what mgs I have received from people saying they would “take further steps”, if I didn’t stop using their photos..ahhh,life is good.
My business has far exceeded it’s growth potential here, on Etsy. In just a few short months, I have been able to make more than enough money,to start my business elsewhere, on my own site, where I do not have to listen to people bitch and moan, about what they think is proper and what isn’t.

Like I said…many of you have been doubt about it. Especially my customers. I’m glad you all loved my stuff. Also, the people whom I have bought from, and the people who have made custom items for me…thanks. Most of you did great work…a couple of you….ahem…gimpyvicki123…have not,at all.
Think I’m being rude and nasty? Awww…thats too bad. Obviously my products are great enough to keep people coming back, and I no longer need Etsy.

So, in conclusion…thanks for all the have made it possible for me to start my own website and brick and mortar store, where my customers will be treated with respect, and thankfulness for their business….not like here, on Etsy.
    MAZEL TOV!!!!

Oh yeah, and by the way…please don’t purchase anything else from my store. I have abandoned my paypal account (now that I accept credit cards),opened up a new one,and you won’t get your money back,or your product, because I will not be checking back. If you have already ordered something, and you have not already received it, don’t hold your breath. You won’t be.
You can take it up with paypal. I cleaned out all the money from my paypal account. So I benefited from it,but not you. I also signed up under a fake name,so it’s no skin off my back. Maybe they will refund your money, maybe they won’t. It will be coming out of their own pocket though.
    Catch ya later!!!!

The alchemy listing said it was to be shipped to Elmira. She may be off but I don’t think that that example proves it. Now her shop announcement, that’s something else altogether. I guess Dr Phil didn’t help her rage.
Curious, how did you know it was her on Dr. Phil?

Oh, man. The fact that this woman has a young child makes my stomach turn. That poor boy. I hope he has some adult to look to for guidance other than “Bella”. That really just makes me sick.

And the fact that she’s got the balls to open a new shop, when she freely admits that she’s taking the money and running from Etsy? What will her new customers think about that?

  8. JajieBo March 6, 2010 at 2:24 pm #

And her alchemy request for a fake Johns Hopins doctoral degree- WTF? That definitely cannot be good. Someone should forward all this sludge to Dr. Phil’s producers. I’m sure they’d love to know that their past guest is ripping people off online (and ADMITTING it!). I really hope someone besides Bella is caring for her son, or will be soon.

  9. Ya betcha March 6, 2010 at 2:31 pm #

She’s scamming with other people’s photos. All her latest feedback has been negative. Report shop for scamming.

  10. etsycallout March 6, 2010 at 2:44 pm #

I assume Elmira is where she lives since the degree is for her and wants it shipped there. It is also the town that is listed on her facebook and myspace account. How do we know it’s her on Dr. Phil? She posted it on her Myspace page.

  13. Kirsi March 6, 2010 at 2:59 pm #

And how many people have reported her to Etsy for stealing their pictures..? And what did Etsy do to protect their own customers, and those who would be deceived by these false photos..?

  14. Liz March 6, 2010 at 3:05 pm #

This has got to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen on Etsy. This woman clearly has problems, and shouldn’t be interacting with society in any way …

I will be taking bets on how long it takes Etsy to close down this shop … and how many negative feedbacks she will have once it’s finally closed … any takers? LOL

  15. Kirsi March 6, 2010 at 3:07 pm #

And all her listings are still up. I thought the movie I just saw was about the scum of the earth…

  16. Liz March 6, 2010 at 3:11 pm #

… all of her items just disappeared.

Do you guys think it was her? or Etsy?
Her store was full. I reloaded the page, and it was empty.

  17. notvintage March 6, 2010 at 3:12 pm #

WEll, it’s the weekend so luckily her rant about stealing from other sellers and customers will stay up for a few more days.
I guess she thinks this is the way to make money online: by revealing yourself as a complete psycho fraud.
The longer her rant stays up the more viral her name(s) will become.
    Social Services alert

  18. disgustedetsian March 6, 2010 at 3:15 pm #

Wow, I have seen and met some whackos in my life, but this girl is a freak for sure. How can she write that in her shop?

Oh and I’m glad she made sooo much money ripping people off with her just over 72 sales that she can now open her own website store *snicker*

I can’t even believe this. She reminds me of the kids that acted out in grade school. The Dr. Phil thing is scary. How has she not lost custody of her child? She has clearly lost her marbles, if she ever had any in the first place. Having a hard life does not give you carte blanche to be a raging cunt…

I hope some legal action is taken against her. How foolish to admit you’ve stolen others’ photos, that you don’t give a shit, and will continue to use them. Not that it will make a difference, but I’m reporting her shop to Etsy anyway.

It would be nice to see some justice for a change, and legal action taken against this betch for being a stealing lowlife.

  19. Ginaaa March 6, 2010 at 3:26 pm #

Screenshot if anyone wants it. I know I’ll be laughing about this for a few days.

  20. sick of Bella March 6, 2010 at 3:29 pm #

I KNEW she was going to close shop soon. I have been following her for months now. All of a sudden she lists a bunch of high valued “antique” items. I knew she was going to sell and run. She’s a trainwreck, even Dr. Phil couldn’t get through to her. And her smartass comments to others about continuing to use their pics, it’s unbelievable. I hope that anyone who finds out she is using their pics contacts an attorney. She’s just a disaster, total disaster. Too bad Etsy didn’t shut her down sooner, I for one (and am not the only one) have been reporting her continually for months. I also feel for those buyers who either get product that look nothing like what she posted or who most likely will never get their item. Bella, I hope one day you get what’s rightfully coming to you.

  21. Seriously? March 6, 2010 at 3:31 pm #

I flagged this idiot many, many times over. I went so far as to beg RobW to please escalate attention to her shop to the folks at Abuse so something would be done about it. She was never contacted for using stolen photos? Total bullshit. She should have been shut down months ago, and not only did Etsy allow her to use stolen photos – they allowed her to rip people off. Sickening.
I’m half tempted to throw all caution to the wind, risk my forum privileges, and post this gem on the forum.

  22. why not March 6, 2010 at 3:35 pm #

You could make a sock puppet quick & call it out. I will NEVER understand why etsy admin rails against calling out the obvious crazies, shillers, and wholesalers. These people are NOT part of the community.

  23. why not March 6, 2010 at 3:53 pm #

what a creep! but it will get back to her i am sure..

  25. detroit March 6, 2010 at 4:03 pm #

To the person who’s pix were stolen:

If you find her using your pix again – I don’t think you need to go to the time and expense of contacting an attorney just yet.

Just do a little research. I’m not clear on the details of the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) . But I think you just have to contact whoever is hosting her website with evidence of the theft. And THEY will remove the material pretty quickly.

It’s NOT up to her as she claims. So, too bad so sad for that crazy whackjob!

A lot of people hate the DMCA, because it’s really easy (some say too easy) to get the website hosts to take things down.

  26. Life During Wartime March 6, 2010 at 4:26 pm #

Valuable antiques? I looked at the sold items, and the kind of thing offered is commonly reproduced (sold from wholesalers that you need to register for with your business ID number to access online and/or PAY for print catalog subscriptions). I doubt any of those ‘antiques’ were more than a couple of years old.

This shop was likely flagged hundreds of times. I think s/he removed their own items, Etsy never did anything about this. How could any Etsy employee not look at the range of items she offered for sale and know this person didn’t make any of the handmade and all the vintage was suspect? Especially since she was flagged for stealing photos, among other things?

With all the warning signs in the shop + all the flags, if anyone did get scammed they should be reimbursed by Etsy.

I think the difference in addresses (Grand Rapids vs Elmira) may come from the use of a drop shipper.

  27. Ulljacomesinhandy March 6, 2010 at 4:28 pm #

If someone wants to get her, I’m fairly sure she doesn’t have proper liscensing to be making human food for sale, much less to ship.

If anyone deserves to be Ulljad it’s this bitch.

  28. Marg March 6, 2010 at 4:32 pm #

It’s good that someone got the screenshot. Get copies of everything else you can, including from google’s cache, before it gets deleted. Evidence will be needed. Someone needs to go to the cops & charge her with fraud.

  29. notvintage March 6, 2010 at 4:51 pm #

Her ArtFire shop (I reported it, this seller is an embarrassment to all online sellers)

  30. Avenging Angel March 6, 2010 at 4:52 pm #

I am one of the people that this person defrauded on the antiques. I am filing criminal charges with the Elmira, NY Police Department as well as the FBI’s internet fraud division. She has left a huge trail of crumbs across the internet that have made her completely easy to trace and identify. She has absolutely effed with the wrong person this time. I am appalled that etsy allowed her to continue with so many warnings from others.

You artisan types might want to check out the new site she’s selling her “handmade” goods at to see if she’s stealing your photos there.

  31. ohmeohmy March 6, 2010 at 5:04 pm #

  36. Abe March 6, 2010 at 5:44 pm #

  38. itstinks March 6, 2010 at 6:09 pm #

That cached page linked in #34 shows her shop announcement as saying that she donates 90% of her shop sales to a local animal shelter.

And yet, she was still able to make so much money from her etsy shop that she could open a new webstore. Hmmm.

    She seems mentally unbalanced.

  39. anonymous March 6, 2010 at 6:15 pm #

“But theres no one to complain to, because I own and run the site.”

Even if you own your own domain, it still has a registrar and a host, and both those companies will have TOU.
If you see her using your photos on her own website, you can complain to the host and get the site shut down for copyright violations. File a proper DMCA notice to her host.

Owning your own website doesn’t make you untouchable you twat.

So one of these is the correct state. I might go ahead and call the det. of social services and send links to the two times you appeared on “Dr. Phil” because they placed cameras in her house to see what happens when she goes into a rage. There is no video, only stuff written about the two shows and it says she was screaming and raging, all in front of her 5 year old. And there is a picture of that.

The dept. of SS should investigate that house and perhaps send that 5 year old to live with his dad or grandma.

Noticed the name of her shop is also a rip off of a highly successful, beautiful children’s brand/illustrator… named after the characters she illustrates, belle and boo and charlie too.. does this “isabella” have ANY imagination?

  56. fineheart March 6, 2010 at 8:41 pm #

I was looking for evidence of her having some “fraud” on Artfire. She listed the soap with a different main picture, but the one you posted above is still on there, here is the link the listing where she has used the same photo of your soap again.

Apologies if you have already seen this.

  57. Cat Power March 6, 2010 at 11:04 pm #

I’d say no imagination, and no conscience.

I looked at her Artfire shop and there are items listed that supposedly had sold on Etsy, (a couple of times) and there are 2 “antique rocking horses” exactly alike that are supposedly restored. Doubt very much that she would have found 3 exactly alike to do any restoration on, much less more.

And she’s still got the blurry photos lifted from other sites, which are a dead giveaway that they aren’t original.

The only item I spotted that might be hers is a little panda made from pom pom fuzzies….looks like about her speed. Oh and the “hand dipped” strawberries in French chocolate are for sale also.

That problem with Artfire is there is no real feedback, just Karma and Kudos. Supposedly she has sold some things there, but has no Kudos from said sales.

  58. albatross March 6, 2010 at 11:37 pm #

    hahah this is great:

  59. Life During Wartime March 7, 2010 at 12:36 am #

Cat Power, I think she is confusing French with Belgian chocolate. The retail sites I found that sell items like chocolate covered oreos — which she sells — specify they use Belgian chocolate. I think the packaging may come with some French text on it from the supplier. She recognizes that the language is French, but she can’t read it. Merde.

  60. Erica March 7, 2010 at 1:41 am #

I think Etsy should be held to answer to all who have been scammed by this individual on their site. If they have been told, repeatedly, that this individual has been less than ethical and did absolutely nothing about it, they should be responsible for the aftermath. I also think John Hopkins should be sent a copy of her request to get the fake diploma, just as a warning/heads up. Social Services in Elmira, NY probably needs to know the environment this child is living in. Just my 2 cents.

  61. UnaBee March 7, 2010 at 2:35 am #

For the LOVE of GOD, let this be a turning point for how etsy deals with flagging/complaints. How bad do things have to get?!

Also, her comments are off the regretsy facebook page, as Helen has booted her crazy ass.

  62. UnaBee March 7, 2010 at 4:49 am #

Dear god, not only does she leave a giant legal paper trail, but on her artfire page she claims to have 100% positive feedback on etsy. Then links to her etsy page. Self-destructive much?

  63. Kirsi March 7, 2010 at 5:44 am #

It will probably be easier to get the pictures off her own site than off Etsy, unless the host company is as unprofessional as Etsy… The shop announcement is posted on Regretsy’s FB page, in case someone needs it.

I think Etsy owns a huge apology to the sellers whose images have been used by this loony. Maybe people should start using the DMCA form in stead of Etsy’s rules on reporting copyright infringement – unless they are the same, I don’t feel like checking…!/photo.php?pid=30607405&o=all&op=1&view=all&subj=285066400359&aid=-1&id=1502140324&oid=285066400359

For those ripped off, you can also report to the United States Post Office – Postal Inspectors. If the transaction happened over the internet, it qualifies – especially if she’s (stated things will be) shipped by the postal service. and by the way it’s a federal offense if you are in one state and she in another.

  69. Christine March 7, 2010 at 10:54 am #

I would like to see Etsy publicly address this issue. If this woman was reported to Etsy and they did nothing about it they should be held liable for what she is doing and have to give people she swindled their money back. They had so many red flags and let her stay and now it has become a public relations nightmare. Etsy is looking ridiculous and right now I’m ashamed to be associated with them.

  70. ohmeohmy March 7, 2010 at 11:26 am #

I am confused about something. Because Dr. Phil had her on his show twice and was well aware of the toxic environment her son lives in (because Dr. Phil had video cameras put in her home), wasn’t he obligated by law, being that he’s a medical professional, to report her to child protective services to insure that child is being looked after properly?

  71. JajieBo March 7, 2010 at 11:32 am #

^^^ I’ve wondered about that too, ohmeohmy. I would hope that being televised nationally would at least put her on the radar of CPS. Maybe they checked her out and deemed everything ok? Though I can’t imagine how. Ugh.

  72. JajieBo March 7, 2010 at 11:36 am #

And I would also love to see Etsy address this trainwreck. I flagged her shop too many times to count over the past few months, and I know I’m not the only one who did. They were given plenty of warnings about her, yet apparently they did nothing at all. Unfortunate move, Etsy.

  73. pissed March 7, 2010 at 11:42 am #

Given that Rob shut down elevntybillion threads on this last night, I highly doubt Etsy is going to address this publicly. Sweep it under the rug, as usual.

Best part? Her shop’s still open. Yep, etsy did not empty her shop – crazy lady did it herself. And she is still updating her profile & shop announcement.

Who knows the sheer number of people who complained to etsy yesterday after her meltdown, let alone reported her all along – yet, the shop is STILL OPEN.

Fuckery at its best. The entire content team should be FIRED.

Fuck them & their flagging & auto emails & “if you see a shop doing something bad, email etsy support….”

Why so they can IGNORE IT some more and plea about “be patient..we’re trying”.

Work overtime. Clean up the site for damn sake. Half the buyers & sellers do YOUR damn job for you flagging & researching and STILL shit like this is happens.

FIRED. What the hell???? Its so damn easy.

  74. Ya betcha March 7, 2010 at 11:47 am #

Perhaps Dr Phil can be helpful in getting this little boy out of harm’s way.

  75. Life During Wartime March 7, 2010 at 11:55 am #

Etsy still has not removed her, and she’s still ranting away.

It’s not really funny that she is a serious headcase, and Etsy should have closed her shop and ID months ago. This shop is the perfect example of everything that Etsy needs to fix: fraud, reselling, photo stealing, announcement ranting, bad feedback, soliciting forged legal documents, and putting one of her catalog photos/reseller items on the FP last month. But hey it’s the weekend, and it feels like Spring here on the East Coast. Who feels like working on a day like this?

  76. Life During Wartime March 7, 2010 at 12:01 pm #

Obviously there are a bunch of Etsy staffers in the office this weekend, hard at work on Operation Reseller…not.

  77. Deb March 7, 2010 at 12:04 pm #

This is a woman who should not be permitted within earshot of a young impressionable child, let alone be PARENTING one!!! Please, Dear God, at least get the kid out of there before she self-destructs!!!! :-O

  78. pissed March 7, 2010 at 12:04 pm #

OMG she WAS on the front page. Just checked craftopolis.

Makes me wonder what kind of “eye” the person who picked the item for the treasury has. I mean, there are plenty of photos that aren’t great but you can tell they aren’t STOLEN.

And we all already know Etsy admin could care less & checks nothing out before they slap it on the front page.

  79. Crazy Cat Lady March 7, 2010 at 12:13 pm #

Etsy totally holds the ball on this, imo. This is what happens when you let this stuff go on for so long – when you let psychos do whatever they want.

  80. Sarah March 7, 2010 at 12:22 pm #

If you’re following the saga on Regretsy then you’ve already seen this, but she’s not wasting any time stealing copyrighted images for her new shop. Some kind soul has already notified the photographer on Zazzle.

  81. amybee March 7, 2010 at 12:52 pm #

Dr. Phil is a PHD, not an MD and therefore not a mandated reporter.

For the OP, she is using her picture on her artfire page too:
in case you want to report her there.

  82. Amused March 7, 2010 at 1:16 pm #

Etsy finally took her sorry ass shop down. Poof!

  83. pissed March 7, 2010 at 1:26 pm #

Either that or she deleted it herself – she already removed her own shop items last night & deleted her myspace. I have no faith in etsy to do the right thing.

  84. JonhCocktoasten March 7, 2010 at 1:57 pm #

I am so irritated with HeyMichelle’s “RESELLER CLEANUP” announcement.

What the fuck has etsy been doing all along with these flags? Why now?

  85. KR March 7, 2010 at 2:06 pm #

Those two HeyMichele RESELLER posts are just the LIMIT !! It sounds like it is only HER going through the “reports!?” Come ON! Plus she acts like this is a subject all new and different …like a little prob that has just popped up out of the blue and so now she will make a fun, nice little project out of it.

They are hiring all those redesign people over there- why not hire a couple of people to help poor little, perky HeyMichele out in her long lonesome _will take weeks_ task of going through these Brand New Reports.

    MAN OH MAN !!!

  86. Bridget March 7, 2010 at 2:13 pm #

She’s RIGHT, though…Etsy does NOTHING to people who don’t follow the rules. I have gone on a reported things that aren’t handmade, things that aren’t labeled as mature, things that are CLEARLY not vintage, etc. And I’ll go to the site a few days later and it’s all still up there. Something needs to be done about Etsy in terms of rule breakers.

  87. pissed March 7, 2010 at 2:24 pm #

something needs to be done in terms of Etsy’s staff sitting on their butts, picking their noses and writing cutesy articles and not getting rid of said rule breakers. The problem starts with them. The people getting paid to supposedly catch this stuff & stop it. No wonder the illegal stuff has run rampant.

  88. MadeByM**** March 7, 2010 at 2:27 pm #

Boy, did I miss all of you and this blog! Just got back from vacation. Lots to read!

  89. KR March 7, 2010 at 3:03 pm #

Hi MadeByM****, welcome back and hope you had a great time! The unfortunate thing is that nothing has changed at all at Etsy since you left! Same old same old. And here we all are…..still banging our heads against a wall.

  90. pussdaddy March 7, 2010 at 3:11 pm #

I no longer really have any faith in Etsy admin to be honest, or in Etsy itself to be a safe environment for a buyer to spend their money on. They don’t seem to be much interested in anything about the site really except posting smoke screen gobbedly gook about “wobbling teapots” and “spirit guides” and nonsensical crap such as this. And sellers like this Bella lunatic don’t do much to lead a buyer to believe it is safe to buy there.

I used to try to defend admin with the belief that they are just forum admin and not really in charge of any sitewide decision making. But when you have closed your account and are just looky-loo’ing the forum you notice a lot more than you do when you are searching and pouncing and time machine2’ing and following promo threads for stuff to buy. You are more focused and you see stuff you didn’t have time to see before. There may be a couple of them who care but so what, it doesn’t seem to help much. IMHO sellers who just pay their listing fee with the belief that all they are going to get is to list their stuff on Etsy and who don’t expect a damn thing over and above this are more grounded in reality and probably happier as in reality that is all they are going to get.

By the same token however I do not believe for one second that the Etsy Bitches care for anyone but themselves. I have caught them in too many lies, alll documented on my blog. If they cared about Etsy as a whole they would donate the money they get from ads to help Etsians in some way, like Regretsy does. But I haven’t heard of an Etsy Bitch doing a damn thing for any one else except accept ad money from people who buy ads on their blog and free shops for life at ArtFire and crap like that. If an Etsy Bitch has actually ever done anything for any one other than them self you can email be by hitting the contact link on my own blog and emailing me about. I won’t hold my breath untill emails start rolling in though.

    Thank you, KR!

Yes, it appears nothing has changed, though I did see many shops that were pointed out in comments were closed down! That’s always a plus!

  93. Seriously? March 7, 2010 at 9:11 pm #

Catching up and I found something hilarious when I clicked on the link to her Facebook profile…

She’s updated the name, but not the pic. Clearly she doesn’t realize that all of the existing links point to her profile regardless of whatever name she is using.!/profile.php?id=100000447481627

  94. UnaBee March 7, 2010 at 9:49 pm #

I recently “bought” a domain name that redirects to my etsy page, so that if things don’t change on etsy and I finally do make the move someplace else, I can have that same domain name redirected someplace else without having to change all my branding stuff and links. I suggest that others on etsy do the same. GoDaddy or DownDoggy (I used the latter) are the places to start.

    Antique Ivory Flower Charm Ring
    The description opens with:
“To be honest,I know very little about this pretty ring, except that is it at lease 75 yrs old,and that the flower is real ivory… It was bought at an estate sale for $200…I’m selling it for $100,because I know it’s worth at least that, but beyond that,I do not know. It could be some rare artist piece worth tons of money…”
The item pictured is a new brass filigree ring (Vintaj brand?) with a Lucite flower cabochon. I think it’s very pretty actually. The pic could very likely be stolen from an etsy artist!

    Very Old Victorian Silver Lorgnette
Amazing. Pics taken directly from this site:
So what is she actually selling? SCARY…

Even her 1961 Roger Maris Baseball card image is taken from a blog! (scroll a little bit).

  98. JajieBo March 8, 2010 at 7:32 am #

Sometimes I have to laugh about how we sit here and watch Etsy keep on keepin’ on with the business of being self-serving, unprofessional assbuckets… and we *hope* they change, we *ask* them to change, we *BEG* them to change, and, to top it all off, we even do their jobs for them. And then we groan and wail when they continue to not follow through on their promises. Why?

They have an excellent track record of not caring about anyone but themselves. What the hell are we waiting for?
Whatever it is, it ain’t gonna happen.

  99. Paperika March 8, 2010 at 7:38 am #

I’d have to double check, but I am 99.99% sure that Dr. Phil is a licensed psychologist and he DOES have to be a mandated reporter if that’s the case.

  100. Paperika March 8, 2010 at 7:43 am #

    Yep, straight from his website:
“Dr. Phil holds a B.A. from Midwestern State University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from North Texas State University with a dual area of emphasis in clinical and behavioral medicine.”

So, yep, he IS a mandated reporter!

  101. MadeByM**** March 8, 2010 at 7:45 am #

I have started my own webstite, but I’m keeping my Etsy shop open for now (for what little “exposure” I can get from it). I’ve given up on Etsy. I still “window shop” there and I will continue to buy from there but of course, it will have to be the “real” handcrafted stuff, not the reseller crap.

  102. MadeByM**** March 8, 2010 at 7:50 am #

I’m not going to penalize the real artists and crafters because Etsy admin doesn’t know what they’re doing…………

  103. WheelsontheBus March 8, 2010 at 8:50 am #

Etsy continues to disappoint. As a seller, as a buyer- I am beginning to wonder who Etsy appeals to at all.

If they want to keep drawing fresh, new , talented Artists they need to provide more than just the format. If they want buyers to feel safe in the enviroment then they need to provide more than just the format.

Enough lip service, put some balls behind the words and take out the trash- before trash is all you have left.

  104. ohmeohmy March 8, 2010 at 10:26 am #

Could be her (the sock puppet) in this closed thread:

She said she still has an account on etsy with a different location.

  105. ohmeohmy March 8, 2010 at 10:26 am #

But I am assumming etsy can find that. If they block her IP?

  106. detroit March 8, 2010 at 10:51 am #

That’s definitely her (Suspiriaaa – that is). She listed Susperia as her favorite movie on her myspace, and Dario Argento as her favorite director.

Master of subtlety and deception she is not.

  107. MadeByM**** March 8, 2010 at 11:29 am #

    Interesting rule breaking……………..

Has her off-site website addy in every single title of her items for sale!

  108. M-Alt March 8, 2010 at 11:30 am #

Just an FYI to anyone who has been scammed out of money, you should contact your state’s Attorney General’s Office (Consumer Frauds Bureau) to lodge a formal complaint. With any luck they’ll investigate.

  109. MadeByM**** March 8, 2010 at 11:46 am #

I am always surprised at the naivety of some of the posters ……”How can you tell it’s a reseller?” “How can you tell it’s not handmade?” Scary………

And that’s why the resellers keep signing up!

  110. Life During Wartime March 8, 2010 at 12:26 pm #

Michelle’s project is shutting down the obvious violators (the ones Stevie Wonder could see, like someone in the thread above said). SeanWu and Gwen are gone. The pig and the stein are gone. It’s easier to deal with a reseller located in the country where the goods are made, or an obviously fake shop like ‘gwen’. Harder for them to deal with apparently are the American (usually, but not always) sellers who have a sprinkling of their own handmade or real vintage mixed in with resale goods. I think this latter type of shop is the kind most confusing to customers.

  111. ohmeohmy March 8, 2010 at 1:24 pm #

yeah, I’m waiting to see what happens with and and a few others.

    And that BIG collective:

an etsian sent me links for their collective, which sure as hell looks like a factory to me. I can’t find the link, but here is another she sent me (look for Team and the pic of this huge collective sitting for a pic):

  112. Martin March 8, 2010 at 1:45 pm #

Regarding copyright: The creator of a piece of art (photos, writing, etc.) AUTOMATICALLY has the copyright. Any pictures you’ve taken, stories you’ve written – you have copyright, and your work is protected. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t stamp a copyright notice on it. That’s how the law works.

If someone is using photos you took, or artwork you made, or ad copy that you wrote, you CAN pursue that person and seek remediation (even if it’s just making them stop using your work).

  113. Avenging Angel March 8, 2010 at 2:14 pm #

    Resource for Her Fraud Victims
Just in case there are victims of her fraud reading this, here are the places you should file reports to law enforcement:

FBI Internet Crime Division online complaint form:

US Postal Service Mail Fraud online complaint form:

Also call your local police/sheriff department and file a criminal fraud report. They will pursue it with the Elmira NY Police Department.

Use the report the non-receipt of item link at etsy:

Call Paypal directly at 1-888-221-1161. Call them and file a report, do not use their online form. Due to the number of fraud complaints on her, they will immediately escalate your complaint if you call and explain the situation. Just to let you know, they do pursue people like her both financially and criminally.

  114. PussDaddy March 8, 2010 at 2:14 pm #

My best advice is to try to keep your temper when posting about this sort of crap on Etsy itself (resellers and illegal listings and the like) or you may find yourself muted. And instead make a blog and a twitter account even if it is in a fake name and blog about this stuff and comment directly to Etsy on twitter confronting them with links and questioning this stuff. I do it in my real Etsy name but I am not a seller and don’t have as much to lose. By the same token though as far as getting any response from admin when I need help or anything it is now as though I don’t even exist (even though it was admin who suggested I reopen my Etsy account if I wanted to), although this is happening to a lot of people seeking help in some way. I don’t however expect that I could ever sell and expect admin to jump to help me if needed but that is just my honest opinion about it, but it also why I say blog this stuff and tweet this stuff in a fake name but just make sure you know what you are talking about so that it doesn’t become just so much excess background noise that no one pays any attention to. When so many blog posts are made and tweets made to them they have to eventually notice it if it becomes a lot. Hell make a blog post about something and tweet them the link to that, tweet links with bad sellers and crap and ask them why they are allowing it. If you do it that way there is not much they can do to punish you as a seller if they don’t know your real name. By the same token however all if it will probably be googable and the downside is that it could give potential buyers the idea that Etsy is a shithole and may effect people signing up. It’s kind of like a damned if you do and damned if you don’t type thing. I would rather though get the point across anonymously with little backlash to yourself than see someone risk getting muted or whatever as a seller on Etsy and risking their business. My belief is the more blogs made about it and the more tweets they get confronting them the better rather than keeping it all corralled on just a handfull of blogs.

  115. PussDaddy March 8, 2010 at 2:17 pm #

That’s all well and good Martin but many sellers on Etsy do not have the money to hire lawyers and persue people because someone used their picture. And if they don’t then such threats are no more than a bunch of ineffective blustering blather. And people who take them and use them know this unfortunately.

  116. MadeByM**** March 8, 2010 at 7:30 pm #

That’s what I read about photography….Martin. Thanks for confirming!

  117. MadeByM**** March 8, 2010 at 7:37 pm #

Her shop is now gone from Etsy!!!

  118. harmony March 8, 2010 at 11:37 pm #

Well, her new website now no longer has ANY photos to speak of. I wouldn’t be surprised if her “bath products” are just little jars of Prell and commercial face creams that she squeezes into unmarked bottles. I mean, really, I have a very difficult time imagining this woman spending any time making anything by hand—she’s clearly an expert at taking short cuts. If she feels entitled to rip off other people’s images and say their hers, than who’s to say she doesn’t just put RoC in an unlabeled jar and call it hers???

  119. CMOM March 9, 2010 at 5:46 am #

Wow. Just wow. How do we know for sure that this crazy Etsy seller is the chic on Dr. Phil? I missed that somewhere on here…

Reading about her segment on the show makes me think that she must have been a past cast member of the Bad Girls Club or something. I also wonder if she wet the bed and killed small animals as a child.

  120. Sioux March 9, 2010 at 8:45 am #

    MadeByM**** Says:
That’s what I read about photography….Martin. Thanks for confirming!

It is true for anything people create – painting, photos, crafts. You own the copyright, even without putting © on it or registering it with the Copyright office. Putting a mark on your image isn’t necessary. Martin’s point, I think, is that whatsherface can’t claim she has a right to take images just because there is no copyright mark or line on them. She doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on.

  123. CMOM March 9, 2010 at 12:14 pm #

  126. Deb March 9, 2010 at 2:43 pm #

@Crazy Cat Lady: It looks like she’s paying for at least some of her eBay stuff with…. PAYPAL!!! At least one of the sellers seems to only use it, didn’t have time to check them all, but how is she doing that with no PayPal account?!?!?

  127. Mjolnir March 9, 2010 at 3:22 pm #

Wow, this is insane! I’m so glad I found out this kind of information about Etsy before I opened my shop there. This woman is a complete sociopath who honestly needs to be rehabilitated and/or locked up for her own health and the health of others. Learning about dishonest ‘business’ people like Bella makes me feel that much saner.

  128. Life During Wartime March 9, 2010 at 3:51 pm #

If Bella has mental health issues, that isn’t her fault. Etsy was warned many months ago about problems with this seller, but did nothing. Etsy put buyers at risk by leaving her shop open and not monitoring her feedback and professionalism. If a venue wants to make exceptions for weird behavior on the part of its mentally ill users, the staff has to take some responsibility for keeping watch on how these sellers are doing. Personally, I think the site should limit its involvement, saying the rules are the rules and follow them or you’re gone. But I am not politically correct.

I am guessing if this blog hadn’t called her out, she’d still have an Etsy shop and be ranting away in her Announcement.

  129. Cora March 9, 2010 at 7:19 pm #

I have let regretsy know on FB that she has an ebay account. I will be letting ebay know tonight or first thing in the morning her shenanigans.

  130. Storm March 9, 2010 at 8:37 pm #

Mental health issues? She’s just a grade A cunt.

  131. 'Elle March 9, 2010 at 8:43 pm #

I love how she starts out by bragging that she won’t get discovered & by the end of a couple hours we’ve got her entire life up on a tack board.

This whole thing reeks of psychopathy, though. Lack of empathy, narcissistic, split second temper, no regard for others.. I could go on. No surprise that Etsy does nothing until it’s all over. Disgusting, this whole mess.

  132. Kirsi March 10, 2010 at 12:27 am #

I felt a bit sorry for her, when I read the Dr. Phil transcript(sp?), and the doctor’s findings, but then I read one of her sold listings again, and didn’t feel sorry anymore. Stress disorders don’t make you lie.

  133. Karla March 10, 2010 at 6:41 pm #

Bella is a horrible human being. I paid her $ 310.00 for a dress that she told me belonged to her. I never received the dress because she never had the dress, the dress never existed. She actually posted a copyright photo of a dress made for one of their customers. Etsy should be responsible since they were aware of the fraudulent way in which she was conducting her business.
This was my first purchase on Etsy and I was gonna wear this dress for my wedding coming up on April 09, 2010.

  134. Angel March 10, 2010 at 7:13 pm #

Given the length of time people have been reporting this seller, and the number of times Etsy had to do something to protect their users (but didn’t), I have a hard time believing that Etsy can’t be held accountable in some respects for this fiasco.

How many more giant fuck-ups need to happen before a staff with actual business experience are hired? How many more people need to lose money ON A SINGLE FUCKING SELLER?

    Three? Five? Ten?

I ask because I’d like to know when I can start spending my money on Etsy again instead of contacting them (via non-Etsy means) to find out if they sell ANYWHERE else. And then purchasing it elsewhere.

I’m fucking talking with my money, Etsy. And I’m sure as hell not alone.

  135. muffintops March 10, 2010 at 7:56 pm #

Her full name is Isabella Miller-Eberlin 607-737-4049 for anyone who needs to file info on her. Gotta love google.

  147. ohmeohmy March 14, 2010 at 5:50 pm #

I read bon that page that pokes fun of her, that she has already lost physical custody of her son to her husband.

Evidently child protective services were on the ball. Thank God her child will grow up in a rage-free home and be able to experience normalcy for the first time in his life.

So I just found the emails from crazy people link and wow. Just wow. I never even knew about Etsy or this woman before but now I’m actually angry at both of them. I almost wish I had some kind of transaction with her just so I could help send her crazy ass far far away. Anyways, to all of you who have had dealings with her I wish you all the best of luck in getting whatever you want as payment, either having her take down your photos, pay back money you paid for an item or just having her thrown in jail or something. Keep up the fight.

I am from the Elmira area. This person has caused tons of problems in this area with millions of posts on craigslist for poor quality dogs, and now she is a trainer. I own a local pet services facility (a legitimate one), and we are working hard to put a stop to this crazy chick. Anyhow, let me know if someone in her hometown can be of assistance. Thank you!
