This seller on Etsy is claiming to be a web designer and they are selling wordpress themes etc, but the themes they are customizing and selling are not theirs! I have reported them a few times, but Etsy hasn’t done anything about it!
For example this listing….
Also, the rest of their designs they show in their portfolio aren’t theirs. Not a single one is! Majority of the themes are ones you can find online for free and were created by well known people in the WordPress community.
In fact the design they use for their portfolio is completely stolen!
I’d like to call out this shop ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/jennifoofoo ) for copying and basic lack of creativity. She’s obviously had her store open since 2007 but based on when her items were sold she rapidly changes designs with how popular another store gets. If you look at each shop they have something in common, high sales, and the last 2 are actually featured in magazines!
Each bad copy are from shops that have been publicly recognized.
Her version of a the Bunny: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=6525831
Then she switches gears and copies two shops at once:
Her one-eyed plush monster: http://www.etsy.com/listing/44904208/zombunny-finley
Original one-eyed plush shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ArtTales
Her version of a scrap doll: http://www.etsy.com/listing/44293389/bernice
She seems to be copying the last shop the most, check out the next to last image in http://www.etsy.com/listing/44293389/bernice and the second image in the original http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=24678643
The last 2 shops have specific copyright info listed as well. All three shops have a large fan base and yet she seems to think no one will notice published works being copied. So if your plush have just taken off, chances are your design will be the next one popping up in her Etsy shop! Thanks jennifoofoo for being so “creative”.
