Guess Who’s Back??

25 Aug
That’s right!  Twiggarden aka Elvendale aka Glenamara aka Wicopy aka Threedollarearrings aka Greengages aka Beadwitches aka Fairythimble aka Lindengate aka Saffron (on Artfire) is now back as GardenofSecrets!
Twiggarden was called out several weeks ago and I noticed the shop disappeared recently. Just in time for her to open up a new shop:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/GardenOfSecrets
And yep, all those EXACT earrings that were once $3 (when she was threedollarearrings) are now $14, $15, or $16! I guess the cost of “vintage” components has gone up, huh?
And, as usual, she’s somehow managed 70 sales in, what, 17 days. Must just be beginner’s luck (for at least the tenth time).
Anyone wanna place bets on how long it’ll take before the negs (and associated retaliatory negs) come pouring in and this shop disappears just like the other ones?

I know I’ve seen a lot of this seller’s shops called out before. But I don’t understand why the odd behavior, closing all the shops, and then re-opening again?

  2. BooBoo August 25, 2010 at 11:02 am #

    Secrets is right.

  3. Wolf August 25, 2010 at 11:04 am #

Probably trying to cover her tracks and hide her past from buyers.

Too bad for her that she’s been found out numerous times already. It’ll catch up with her yet again.

  4. bubbles August 25, 2010 at 11:59 am #

she also has had multiple buying accounts under the names, withyweed, whereaboutsea and starbeadz, not sure what her deal is ?

  5. Disgusted August 25, 2010 at 12:12 pm #

I am not understanding either. These look like they could actually be handmade. What’s the deal?

  6. uh-huh August 25, 2010 at 12:19 pm #

Apparently this shop owner is somebody who shills their own (new) shop to get the fast high ‘sales’ count, and they also rack up lots of negative feedback from buyers when they do actually really sell something…… sooooo they just shop down their shop (sweep the evidence under the rug) and just open a new shop selling the same items.
    Classy.

  7. uh-huh August 25, 2010 at 12:20 pm #

(that should be “shut” down their own shop)

  8. Bedazzled VONdom August 25, 2010 at 12:20 pm #

I bet that it goes “poof” by the 8th of September.

  9. uh-huh August 25, 2010 at 12:21 pm #

btw I guess now would be a good time to get screenshots of this shop before it goes AWOL and a new incarnation emerges.

Her Cherry earrings (as Twiggarden) were $8 on July 28th:

And her (identical) Cranberry earrings are now $12!

Guess someone is getting their prices ready for the Christmas rush!

Now they’re $12 (but they’re called Cranberry earrings now). Maybe those extra letters cost an extra 4 bucks?

I think she must be insane.

So let me get this straight- this Garden of Secrets shopowner buys her own items to create the 70 sales she has? But her feedback appears legit- or at least some of them- some buyers have no feedback or no other identifying info. How does someone do this? And to what purpose other than to make it look like she has sales? Why pay all the fees associated with that when it really doesn’t do squat for you.

Also, are her items handmade or is she a reseller.? Hard to tell from photos.

  15. BooBoo August 25, 2010 at 5:32 pm #

No profile, no location (USA?), no sale.

  16. girl in the corner August 25, 2010 at 6:31 pm #

“Why pay all the fees associated with that when it really doesn’t do squat for you. ”

It doesn’t cost anything. You “buy” the item yourself with an undisclosed account and after you leave yourself glowing feedback, you get the transaction cancelled by Etsy so you get your listing fee back. You then proceed to actually sell the item, and not send it. You do this a few times, take the money, close up shop, and reopen with another name. It’s a win win situation for her, it seems.

What a horrible person she is. How do these people sleep at night.

  17. ScrapMetal August 26, 2010 at 3:50 am #

You mean she sells to a willing buyer (not herself) then doesn’t send the item? OMG- that’s really awful!!!! What trash!

So those + feedbacks she does have- who are they from? Her?

    This is so not right!!

  19. boots August 26, 2010 at 7:42 am #

ya but she has 72 sales how can she ask etsy to give her a refund that many times. i still don’t understand, also are these then fake items she is listing?

  20. etsycallout August 26, 2010 at 8:11 am #

maybe she just sells everything at .10

  21. bellacruz August 26, 2010 at 10:11 am #

I’m not sure I follow this call out. Those earrings look handmade. I have some of the same (lime green) beads. ?????

  22. etsycallout August 26, 2010 at 10:17 am #

it’s not a reseller callout. Please read carefully. It’s the buying from self & shilling- making sales & keeping the money by closing up shop.

I just don’t understand how Etsy admin have failed to spot this same seller over and over again. She’s had AT LEAST 10 shops! Surely someone could’ve put two and two together by now, since they’ve either shut her down repeatedly or she’s asked them to delete her accounts repeatedly.

  24. bellacruz August 26, 2010 at 1:29 pm #

    oh, wow.

    What a shame.

  25. sparkalicious August 26, 2010 at 8:10 pm #

“I just don’t understand how Etsy admin have failed to spot this same seller over and over again.”

As the old song puts it: There is none so blind as he who will not see. Translation: Etsy admin doesn’t want to see it, therefore it doesn’t exist so they don’t have to do anything about it. See how that works?
It’s ***magical*** (cue the unicorns farting glitter and fairydust…)

  26. Toaster August 26, 2010 at 9:55 pm #

You would think Etsy would actually notice the 70+ requests to cancel a transaction from a single seller within the space of a couple of weeks, but I guess that’s asking too much.

  27. Blue Kitty August 27, 2010 at 2:16 am #

When you cancel a transaction your total sale figure reduces, at least it does in the case of cancelling malicious purchases.

  28. PussDaddy August 27, 2010 at 12:11 pm #

Heavens, I had a link on my blog to her ThreeDollarEarring shop on a blog post I made long ago but I just took it off.

  29. RocksInMySocks August 27, 2010 at 7:08 pm #

maybe she’s not canceling the sales because she’s not paying her Etsy bill. I figure she could keep things going for close to 3 months before she shuts down her shop, gets a new email, and starts over again. Who knows? People like this are just scumbuckets!

  30. toastycrackers August 27, 2010 at 10:54 pm #

Just saw this shop scroll past on the Recently Listed quite a few times.

I’ll bet thats her M.O. Her last few shops have only been open for a few months and have disappeared completely, which leads me to believe they’ve been shut down by admin (perhaps for non-payment?).

  32. PussDaddy August 28, 2010 at 7:40 pm #

I didn’t know she had had all these shop names and all this other stuff.

  33. Call Out Grrl September 12, 2010 at 12:35 am #

And the negative feedback has started! Who bet on day 30? Please go to the cash desk for your payout.

And she just opened yet another shop today:

I know this is from August, but has anyone seen this chick pop up again? LOL I’m intrigued by her boldness, and lack of tact! The idiot.

  36. TheTracker April 14, 2011 at 7:09 pm #

She’s back on etsy again, as of 4-13-11

    same exact photos

104 sales since 4/13, but only one feedback – hmmmm…

  39. TheTracker May 4, 2011 at 8:14 pm #

someone was refunded their money, no reason – this is typical, so I’m expecting this shop to close soon and another will open
