Did you witness Glamour gate? They featured one of the resellers

Best part? Etsy clearly doesn’t give a f*ck https://www.facebook.com/Etsy/posts/10150108444909727

Link to shop anyone?

They took most of them down since I won’t shut up about it, even tweeted under #handmademyass

    See screenshots here http://www.regretsy.com/2011/03/03/more-handmade-wedding-dresses-on-etsy/#comments

Etsy closed these when I violated their precious rules by posting links

WJW…GlamourGate and CountryLivingGate in less than one month. Still, I am guessing Etsy’s investors are thrilled that their business plan is working out for them: Etsy’s transformation has now shown its public face.

People are crazy for putting this handmade makeup on their face IMHO.

How funny – when you click on “blog” on the http://www.divabydesign.net website mentioned above, it’s the same blog layout as Etsy Callout. I just thought that was kinda funny.

But the Etsy shop shortweddingdresses and http://www.divabydesign.net appear to be the same company – if you read the etsy profile they do actually mention divabydesign. So it’s no surprise that the dresses are the same on both sites. Nothing’s disclosed on the etsy profile about their being a collective (if that’s what they are), but I’m not ready to label them a reseller just yet since it appears they’re selling stuff they actually make. The prices would be awfully low for these to be handmade by an individual though, but aren’t collectives (ahem, factories) allowed on Etsy as long as its disclosed?

    Puss Daddy,
My question exactly! Who in the world buys makeup from some yahoo on Etsy? Can you be sure that it is clean and bacteria free? Did they wear gloves and sterilize the containers before packing? Did they sneeze in it? I’ve got the heebie jeebies thinking about it..blech!

I wonder if they are getting away with the wedding dresses by doing alterations to fit on them?
