We love this treasury:

UPDATE: Regretsy has a screenshot.
————————————————————————————

I could swear that I saw them called out here previously, but it’s not coming up on search: http://www.etsy.com/shop/iambridal

I’m pretty sure it’s all reseller stuff, but here’s one example:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/65048478/simple-and-elegant-white-chiffonsatin
also sold here: http://www.eastbridal.com/designer-wedding-dress/beach-wedding-dresses/column-sweetheart-neckline-sleeveless-chiffon-beach-wedding-dress-b-dswd0023.html
and here: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/336366692/Chiffon_Wedding_Dress_with_Satin_Band.html

I haven’t been able to track down where their stuff is from, but this shop also appears to be a reseller: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Sun2000

Why is this shop still here!?!?! GAWD!!!

I swear I’ve flagged it a million times, and as if to taunt me, I keep seeing it in my activity feed as people hearts these cheap-ass dresses from China.

I can always hope they are just booking them for later. *sigh*

    Hmmm…same pants, two different shops:

Other pairs are still for sale in aloha2summer’s shop – a mere $32. What a bargain.

Aw, didn’t get to see the treasury! It sure is lovely how quick they are to remove a treasury but when it comes to removing the resellers themselves, they pretend nothing’s wrong.

Damn! Missed the treasury. Was it a parody? Same thing happened awhile back when someone created a “Vintage 90s” treasury with hilarious sarcastic comments.

So true, em, gone in the bat of an eye while resellers remain.

Garagetsy, if it’s the one I saw earlier today, it was a collection of identical ‘handmade’ mass-produced rings/pendants offered by a variety of ‘artists’.

So disappointed I didn’t see that Treasury!

But yeah the two shops called out in this post sell mass made dresses.

Why would anyone buy a wedding dress online? I can see getting a veil, some jewelry, a bouquet. But who in their right mind would buy a wedding dress online?

  8. megansbeadeddesigns March 24, 2011 at 2:30 pm #

I didn’t buy my dress online, but I did order it through a local bridal shop without being able to try it on, so I can see someone doing it, especially if someone thought that it was completely handmade and could be custom to their specifications. There are plenty of alteration businesses to take it to if it’s a little off.

I think it’s because they aren’t resellers – they are a chinese company that can mass produce wedding dresses off pictures (which is why they steal pictures). They use cheap crappy material.

Speaking of, it looks like the shop got pulled, but check this one out that popped up – same old deal as above from Shanghai:
