This trade occurred December 31st. I forgot to add that. So nearly 14 weeks this has been going on.

  2. AngryEtsySeller April 13, 2011 at 9:34 am #

Her feedback is 67% positive (can’t see her negative feedback… is that Etsy’s new policy that everybody is complaining about?). Did you leave her a negative feedback already?

This is wrong. Period. Be professional, geez!

  3. BriannaBeansBoutique April 13, 2011 at 9:40 am #

Yes I left her a negative. This is what it says. I left it on March 5th.

I am very sorry I am leaving a negative but I will do “kiss and make up” once I do finally get my photos. I sent 8 pairs of shoes to be photographed and have not yet gotten a single shot. I understand there are personal reasons but I was not kept very well informed and have kept my end of the bargain. I hope this will just be a small hill to cross as you are a very nice person. I am just sad to not have my photos after months of waiting.

  4. Getem April 13, 2011 at 9:49 am #

LOL, don’t think I would have put it in writing that 1/2 of my customers think I’m a thief… what was she thinking?

  5. PussDaddy April 13, 2011 at 2:05 pm #

Sorry this happened BrianaBeans. I hope you get your shoes back but I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you. From what I can see she only has 3 feedback? I am not sure 3 feedback would be enough for me to judge a person by enough to be handing them over a bunch of my stuff, but you live and learn I guess. Good luck.

  6. BriannaBeansBoutique April 13, 2011 at 3:01 pm #

I kind of thought etsy would have my back if I did a regular transaction when I did the trade. But I guess it doesn’t do sellers any good even though it’s in writing.

Mass-produced junk item on the FP right now http://www.etsy.com/listing/71924076/fish-wall-decor-in-shades-of-sea-foam?ref=fp_treasury_5

“I kind of thought etsy would have my back”

….you should of never thought that to start with. Etsy doesn’t have anyone’s “back” unless they are one of the “pets” or a reseller that’s making them a bundle…..NEVER send anything to anyone unless your paid for it, NEVER. I’m sorry this happened to you, thank you for bringing it to everyone’s attention though so someone else doesn’t make the same mistake. I hope you get your shoes back at some point…….

  9. BriannaBeansBoutique April 13, 2011 at 8:07 pm #

lol @ whoknewit that is sooo true about etsy having pets. But I really loved being able to send items to photographers in exchange for photos. It’s just so sad this person ripped of so many people. To say the least I have started to take my own photos.

  10. iona April 13, 2011 at 9:05 pm #

This is just….weird. It seems like a breach of privacy to post these conversations here.

  11. Ellen April 13, 2011 at 9:23 pm #

It’s a bummer you haven’t gotten your shoes back. Who knows maybe her life is crazy. I sure had some problems that effected my reliability when I was younger.

If her infant son is not well, and she has another little one, she is probably in survival mode and not paying enough attention to other things like her biz.

I hope it works out for you in the end.

Hey, it’s been a while. This rock paper scissors ring showed up after I took the “test” on the home page.

    http://www.etsy.com/listing/70277737/rock-paper-scissors-two-finger-ring?ref=hp_tt_yt

It’s on ebay for $8 dollars and on http://chinamingwang.en.alibaba.com/product/368761034-210523980/Rock_Paper_Scissors_Double_Finger_Ring.html

Her whole shop is “found” items. I convoed her with the links, and asked if she made them. Seriously, I can ignore the violations since I don’t look for them, but when they are thrown in my face? Ugh.

  13. sickofetsy April 14, 2011 at 2:42 am #

Ya, this is an odd thing for callout to post. I never would have sent my stuff to a stranger with crappy feedback and no payment. Etsy doesn’t care about it’s customers, so you end up paying them whether you get anything from the deal or not.

  14. EtsyVigilante April 14, 2011 at 4:07 am #

On the FP right now. Handmade, new tagged “Antique”.http://www.etsy.com/listing/71864352/special-price-was-6500-primitive-rustic?ref=hp_tt_yt

(Is there a place on Callin’ Out Etsy to post call outs? I can’t seem to find it. I know it doesn’t seem appropriate in this thread but don’t know where else to post. thanks for your patience.

  15. angryjeweler April 14, 2011 at 5:40 am #

the situation stinks, but we’re not really calling out a big-time seller here – just a random buyer-only account. She doesn’t even have a shop. I thought the main point of a call-out was to protect & inform buyers – no one can buy photos from this lady b/c she doesn’t even have a shop. I hope you get your stuff back, but ECO should focus on bigger fish to fry IMO – these small things happen all the time.

  16. Trista April 14, 2011 at 5:48 am #

Breech of privacy? How about the breech of contract that this criminal made by stealing the shoes? She’s a swindler and deserves to be called on it before she’s able to do it to other people.

I agree, I never would have sent anything to a stranger in the first place and BriannaBean can only consider it a lesson learned, but that doesn’t change the fact that other people should be warned before doing business with this MissKeyPhotography. Personal problems do not give you the right to steal from someone.

  17. kitten April 14, 2011 at 6:07 am #

    The wood is antique.

  18. Lucy April 14, 2011 at 7:31 am #

I’m amazed at how many times orders can’t be mailed out due to emergencies. I had a seller that couldn’t even reply to an e-mail asking where my items were for week because she was sick. Unless you’re in a coma, you can still check your computer. This may be a true family emergency, but unfortunately bad shops have used it as an excuse so often that you become jaded and don’t know who to believe. It might just be me and I pick the wrong shops to do business with.

  19. BriannaBeansBoutique April 14, 2011 at 7:50 am #

Lucy – You might like to know that on her facebook page she was posting photos of hair items she had just made that week. What gets me too is that her own daughter was supposed to be one of the models but for some reason she can’t even take those pictures?

  20. sickofetsy April 14, 2011 at 7:58 am #

    I love that potato bin.

  21. stephanie April 14, 2011 at 11:08 am #

EtsyVigilante – Read the listing. It is made from 200yr. old barnwood.

  22. Life During Wartime April 14, 2011 at 11:40 am #

Making a new item from old materials does not an antique make. Not vintage, either. Like when British peasants removed stones from the Avebury circle to use in construction, they were not creating a prehistoric henge by using the stones. The buildings made with the stones are not considered ‘prehistoric’.

But this kind of BS tagging is acceptable on Etsy. And that’s a shame.

  23. Life During Wartime April 14, 2011 at 11:56 am #

And that barnwood bin is such a bargain, too! Similar items which are not handmade by the seller (cough cough cough) are usually about 4 times the price!

Such an accomplished furniture craftsperson, but nothing about their skills and their training in their Profile. Only about the materials. How odd.

  24. Trista April 14, 2011 at 3:05 pm #

200 years old? Yeah, I know I have tons of barnwood from 1811 lying around. So much that it can be made to order & every wooden item in my shop is made from it.

  25. EtsyVigilante April 14, 2011 at 6:52 pm #

Well-said, Life During Wartime and Trista.

I agree with you Lucy, but I also see this as an issue with Etsy itself. Etsy has been promoting the ‘quit your day job’ fantasy for crafters and artisans for some time and it is obvious that it is unattainable for the majority of Etsians. Problems like these continue to arise because crafters and artisans have to work full-time jobs – competing with the resellers is edging them out.

  27. BriannaBeansBoutique April 14, 2011 at 10:18 pm #

Sorry I had this removed but I didn’t want any chance of the breach of privacy to go against me. But I did contact etsy once again to see if they will help me out to at least remove her.

    ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Big mistake for anyone to think they are a pet for even one minute. Every one is expendable. Every one claimed I was a pet, a double ought forum spy sent in by admin no less, and my ass is about as muted and banned as anyone else’s is. There are no pets on Etsy, it’s a mistake to think there are or that you are one, and even if by chance a person is a “pet”-well let’s just say a new pet can be had when another one gets dumped off at the pound.
