Check out the last pic, where the reseller kept the watermark of the wholesale website off:

This is not the only item being resold: The setting and model on this dress:  Are the same as that of the dress being sold in her store:

This shop has not sold a thing yet although the hearts and such keep coming in! NOW is the time to flag the item and the whole shop – before she sells anything!!!

I have flagged with links already but the more people who do it now the more likely Etsy is to take notice!

I bet her plan was to wait for an order and then place her wholesale order in the size she needs – FREE shipping from the manufacturer to the US.

    This is so disturbing!!!!

To be honest and maybe I am mistaken it would not be the first time but I do admit that it would occur to me the question of how a little ol’ lady or SAHM armed with a Brother sewing machine would turn out such a vision of lovliness that would fit me perfectly.

    Disturbing, but so common…
I can’t go through one page of certain categories on Etsy without seeing at least ONE reseller.

How is this shop still open?
some of the photos on the Etsy site say TOPRUNWAY and the Etsy seller makes a note saying that HeartMyCloset is the same as TopRunway.

Simple google search brings up TopRunway on Ebay
which alone does not prove they are a reseller, however, this article does:

I am the notifier, and I wrote to the seller to inform them that it seemed like they were breaking etsy’s rules. S/he had the gall to tell me the photos were just inspiration that s/he would be trying to imitate…. And that s/he didn’t even have the original pattern, so could not be breaking etsy’s rules. I told her that its not how photos work on etsy and also that a used plaid “vintage-style” coat she was selling also violated etsy’s rules.

    Reported-with links.

It blows my mind to think that anyone would believe that someone who makes dresses on that scale and has access to such professional models and photographers would be selling on Etsy.

heartmycloset says: “it takes 10-23 days for make + ship. Any questions please email. Yes i do make other designs as well send me the pic then i’ll create a custom listing for you”

WHAT does that mean?^^^^ send her a picture? of what? a dress you find in a magazine and then she’ll make it?

No profile, no info, geez I would need lots more info before buying from her. Listings are all so confusing – or I am just slow!

Over 500 sales so I am sure Etsy doesn’t want to lose the business by closing this reseller down!

Just read the ‘counterfeit chic’ article on the seller TOPRUNWAY aka ORIENTAL_TREASURE aka HEARTMYCLOSET….

This sweatshop in China is making upwards of 30 dresses a month if you look at the feedback for April thus far.
Obviously, there are several people sewing. Somehow they have convinced Etsy that they are a Collective?????

Of course its a collective!!!! of 50 underpaid, possibly minor, worked to the bone people, with no air conditioning!

They are COPYING designers – which is so ugly and disturbing in itself I would think Etsy would get rid of them just on that premise alone. It is counterintuitive to the whole handmade philosphy???

All you have to do is open any fashion magazine and see a full page ad asking people to STOP buying counterfeit designs in clothing, purses etc. As much as I covet some designer handbags and watches I just can’t stomach even thinking about buying a knock off/counterfeit one – as a crafter/indie designer it makes me sick, seriously!

Wow, I guess I understand the moral dilemna some people on Etsy talk about. Basically I was irritated, pissed off and disturbed before…. now I just don’t even know what to say!
I would love to see someone from Etsy address this particular situation.

Collectives are one thing, but counterfeit goods????

Seller’s shop full of clothes and shoes that aren’t vintage and thongs sold as supplies…yet she gets to be on the FP.

WJW that lovepennies shop is full of violations. Who would have thought thongs were supplies?

Found that one using the Time Machine feature.

    Those thongs are disgusting! OMW!

etsyfleamarket – I reported most of the items in that shop, then got tired. ridiculous!

  15. PussDaddy April 24, 2011 at 6:14 pm #

Some things I would buy used. Something worn in the crack of another person’s ass ain’t one of ’em.
