Seller that has already been on heartsy, JayWithLove, buys at least some of her items wholesale from 925e.com. Her avatar is even directly from the wholesale site:

There are lots more on her etsy site. Every picture that has the “torn paper” look is directly from the wholesale site, 925e.com.

Interestingly, I saw her avatar when she started a thread in the forums trying to promote her shop on heartsy. My favorite quote from her says it all:

“Hustler’s gotta wanna hustle I guess. Can’t be lazy when you’re trying to get a business off the ground.”

This is the same wholesale site that Portobello buys from and got busted for a year ago. They have a minimum order of $800 so that means JayWithLove bought a LOT of jewelry to pass off as handmade by her on etsy.

Just checked JayWithLove shop and it’s empty. This statement is in the shop announcement…

    Very interesting! 🙂

Two of the shops I flagged today are now ‘unavailable’. I’m feeling very powerful and self righteous 😉

  4. FormerEtsyBuyer July 4, 2011 at 12:04 pm #

I still see the shop, with the same mass-produced things from 925e.com.

  5. FormerEtsyBuyer July 4, 2011 at 12:08 pm #

Oh, wait, I see…all of her 925e.com jewelry has been “sold” today. Not removed by etsy. Sold.

She probably saw this call-out and bought everything herself to avoid problems with etsy.

Here’s a link to the shop:

Oh fuckery. I just bought 2 pieces from her site. I’m never going to see my money, am I

  8. screwed July 4, 2011 at 10:04 pm #

    Heartsy has removed her deal!!!

  9. kitten July 4, 2011 at 10:10 pm #

When was her Heartsy deal? How do you know it was removed?

  10. screwed July 4, 2011 at 10:42 pm #

Her Heartsy deal is here: http://heartsy.me/deals/3453-19-for-42-online-store-credit-at-jaywithlove

And it was removed because I emailed Heartsy with a link to this page and asked for a refund. Go Heartsy!

    So much wrong here:

  12. VH McKenzie July 5, 2011 at 5:02 am #

Looking at her “sales” I see that she “sold” over 40 items in ONE DAY – June 30. Then nearly another 30 sales in the few days since.

Very fishy. That would certainly rack up a lot of Etsy commissions, no?

Very sad. I hope Etsy shuts this store down ASAP! What peeves me more than Etsy taking forever to shut shops like this down, is the fact that people are so horrible to post thier resell crap on a handmade vintage site! What kind of scum bag are you? The artists and vintage sellers work really hard and then people like this shop come in and shit all over it.

I sell jewelry on Etsy and find it hard enough to compete with the talent there, I dont need scum bag resellers to add to that!

Oh dang. That is some blatant ripping off. Even using the pictures. Sheesh.

  15. kitten July 5, 2011 at 9:34 am #

She started this forum thread back in 2007. FYI JayWithLove, you still don’t have success. You’re just a fraud.

  16. JK July 5, 2011 at 1:01 pm #

Any time I see ‘with love’, I read ‘reseller’.

    spasm of repeating retching

  18. ohmeohmy July 5, 2011 at 9:00 pm #

27 items from 925e resold to her customers, so 27 buyers defrauded!

  19. ohmeohmy July 5, 2011 at 9:01 pm #

    Her avi is from 925e!

  20. TootieSkates July 6, 2011 at 3:51 am #

This shop is suspect. The post earrings in particular.

  21. FormerEtsyBuyer July 6, 2011 at 10:38 am #

Ohmeohmy, I counted 34 items from 925e.com that she sold, and I didn’t even bother looking at the “reserved” items sold. That would make at LEAST 34 defrauded buyers. She bought the bracelets from 925e for sure (swarovski and leather ones). She doesn’t make any jewelry, aside from the personalized stamped stuff and also the wire wrapped things.

    These people make me sick.

  23. oneangrybird July 6, 2011 at 1:26 pm #

    I have no words….

  24. Life During Wartime July 6, 2011 at 1:57 pm #

It’s interesting that Heartsy took the evidence in this callout seriously (I mean, the photos tell the story) but Etsy never did.

JayWithLove has this in her shop announcement…
*Thanks to all the Heartsy Shoppers – what a great and 5 days!! Yes 5!! I was extended and I couldn’t be happier!!*

So did her deal with Heartsy go 5 days or is she lying (again)? How long are Heartsy deals normally?

Um…it’s very possible she made these. You buy half drilled pearls and glue them to the post. Nothing wrong with these.

Also, I don’t see anything wrong with the clothing seller you talked about a few posts earlier.

Please do your research before you call any store out!

  27. ohmeohmy July 9, 2011 at 7:27 am #

I think eCo should remove your post, as this poor seller is now suspect with no good reason. I looked closed at her jewelry and it al looks handmade to me. I even recognize many cahrms and findings she uses!
