Buyer claims Post is a reseller, buying stock form China seller “Duxuntattoo”
That’s a big money maker for etsy. Average sales $40K a year and selling since 06! Bet you this call out is completely ignored.
As a poster in the thread stated… if you look here:
The pictures are still watermarked with “post.etsy.com” and their other site “tattoosocks.com”
At the very least, that website has stolen their photos.
At the WINN show I saw several showrooms selling these hose in
cash & carry, none over $5.00. It is in no way handmade-
would not be at all shocked if the tags changed to a supply.
Yeah, I’m sure these shoes are handmade. LOL
LOL at the $15.00 handmade shoes. They are a perfect go along for the 7 deadly sins hose. I know I am certainly showing my age, but I am getting a bad taste overload here today!
This made the FP and links off site.
I don’t think having their website address in their listings is a problem because the jaws tote costs more on their site than on Etsy. It’s not fee avoidance.
But I see a bunch of images in that shop that copy celeb photos and well known graphics. Sigh….

Translated as “Kiss My Ass”.
The use of the word “quite” is so……smarmy.
I am sure Post would have all kinds of templates, or whatever you call them, available to show people. And I am sure one of the partners could take a picture of the other toiling in their workshop.
If you look close that this photo- http://www.duxuntattoo.cn/viewimg/picture.html?picture=http://i00.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/433995302/stockings.jpg
In the upper right photo, there’s an Etsy shop watermark across the photo. There’s also another watermark for a different site across the bottom right one, as well as the one across all three.
So. Three watermarks in one photo montage. Interesting. Who’s steaing from whome here? Are all three stealing from each other? Heh.
Are the Chinese manufacturer and the seller maybe the same company? The seller is the designer, and has the tattoo socks made in China? Is this possible?
This seller has mass-produced items posing as vintage (tagged and described vintage) mixed in with some actual vintage. http://www.etsy.com/shop/ThirdShift http://www.etsy.com/listing/73632896/vintage-style-real-slate-chalkboardhttp://www.etsy.com/listing
Also questions the “vintage” Super Balls
Check out their sold items for multiples of their “vintage” items http://www.etsy.com/transaction/53837502
Who knows. We all do know why Martha Stewart was so interested in Etsy a few years back.
Tell me that this stuff doesn’t have Etsy written all over it.
I call out Martha Fucking Stewart.
Martha Stewart has a whole line of “handmade” pet toys available at Petsmart and has for awhile. I refuse to buy them. How can anyone label a mass produced item as “handmade” with a straight face? And they are ALL labeled “handmade”.
I think Martha Stewart should be ashamed of herself but instead she’s laughing all the way to the bank.
So sad. But then, I never watch her show and haven’t for years. Her “crafts” aren’t usually doable unless you have a staff to help you with them.
All mass produced here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/LeTresorCache?ref=pr_shop_more
The Martha Stewart crap is indeed handmade. It appears to be crochet, and as of now, there is no way to machine-produce a crochet stitch. Still crap, though.
LeTresorCache was called out before, maybe on Garagetsy? They are selling the same crown hooks as vintage that are listed in the PortugueseVintage shop. They are new mass made decor.
LDW, I thought the TOUs that Etsy haphazardly enforces stated “no offsite links”. Of course since they are charging more and that’s the endgame right there it is probably is fine. I noticed the other images they were using as well.
I may be going blind, but I fail to see on the Petsmart page where the crochet toys are labelled ‘handmade.’ I’d hate to work in that sweatshop if they are selling for $9.99.
I dont see HANDMADE either. I have seen crochet items on wholesaler sites, so I believe there may be a way to crochet by machine?
Wow. The garage sale crap on Etsy has reached a new low today. was featured in the Etsy Finds e-mail and sold.
Good callout, EtsyVigilante! ThirdShift’s shop
I think rates a callout post of their own!
There are stand alone manufactured items listed as Supplies.
There are new items listed as Vintage.
And there are new manufactured items listed as Handmade by the seller.
And some actual vintage and supplies.
Fake, I know this isn’t going to make your day, but one shopper’s garage sale crap is another shopper’s treasure. A figurine from 1985 is more than 20 years old, and can be listed as Vintage…which it was. Personally, I don’t dig Precious Moments and have never bought or sold anything related. But P.M. was one of the top 3 requests I always had from people who encountered me restocking my antique mall booth, along with glass chicken waterers and old school desks. I always told them nicely they would never find those items for sale by me, but I happily directed them to other sellers whose inventory was more to their taste. Such things can be sold according to the TOU and obviously people visit Etsy to buy them.
Handmade??? What do you think? http://www.etsy.com/shop/judithpaulscopes?ref=seller_info
Yes, they appear to be handmade. If you google the artist, Judith Paul, you will see those silly Eiffel Tower things for sale elsewhere at a similar price. Alas, even real artists have to bow to trends.
I just wanted to clarify my post earlier.
The “handmade” pet toys that I have seen at Petsmart are at the actual store. I don’t have online links and don’t want to look for any.
But if you go to a Petsmart store, you can see plenty of Martha Stewart Pet toys (many are plush NOT crocheted) and they are all have “Handmade” written on the cardboard label. They are all made in China or other countries known for their sweat shops.
Tricia, I will check them out next time I am there. I need a pair of new litter boxes and one of those nubby mats for outside the litter box area pretty quick. Why why why do my kitties have to dig down to the plastic before they take a pee? Speaking of which, I hear some vigorous activity in the bathroom next door….
LDW, our cats also like to pan for litterbox gold, preferably in the pre-dawn hours. It’s surprising how loud a single cat and some litter can be together!
There are more people with Klass than Class. That is why shit sells.
Reseller and counterfeit seller. I love the “let me know if you need measurements” angle. I am buying used clothing online…nah, I don’t need no stinking measurements.
The lack of measurements means one of two things: that the seller does not have the garments in her possession or she doesn’t know how/where to measure.
There is a third possibility — that she has body issues so extreme that she can’t deal with knowing the dimensions of a garment that fits her.
For example, compare:
How vintage can a laptop case be????
I’m not an expert Mamaskull, but Chanel bags made in the 1980s have 7 digit serial numbers and those made in the 1990s have 8 digit serial numbers, so it might be the real deal.
Could be….. The first laptops came out in the 80’s, but were no where near as compact and lightweight as those that are made today.
Looks like it could very well be authentic, but made in the late 90’s. Not vintage
8-digit number sequence:
•13****** Chanel series: 2009…
•12****** Chanel series: 2008-2009
•11****** Chanel series: 2006-2008
•10****** Chanel series: 2005-2006
7-digit number sequence:
•9****** Chanel series: 2004-2005
•8****** Chanel series: 2003-2004
•7****** Chanel series: 2002-2003
•6****** Chanel series: 2000-2002
•5****** Chanel series: 1997-1999

You all will LOVE this.
Look at this picture: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://ny-image2.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.249188666.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.etsy.com/listing/75454232/mixed-metal-simplicity-24k-gold-vermeil&usg=__8feybU4WPxnGLo43KW4VrA9KmLY=&h=1125&w=1500&sz=186&hl=en&start=132&zoom=1&tbnid=peTtD1d56L72LM:&tbnh=124&tbnw=170&ei=VhE8TpbWJLTUiAKO2OHTCw&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dwherejewelsbloom%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1024%26bih%3D572%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=394&page=10&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:11,s:132&tx=85&ty=58
and then look at this one: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.229647070381236.67717.179158152096795&type=1#!/photo.php?fbid=229647243714552&set=a.229647070381236.67717.179158152096795&type=1&theater
Looks like SparklePeach,DearestClementine, GardenSecrets, WhereJewelsBloom and LadyKJewelry all use the same mannequin. Wonder if they are neighbors?
So check out this seller’s hats:
She’s got dozens of them and in the description notes that it will “fit most heads” but you send your measurements to she can tell you for sure. She sure doesn’t say she’ll make one in your size. She sells these on ebay too.
Then again, if you look at what she “makes” – check out the repurposed socks used as hand warmers. Yuck.
What’s wrong with people?
Fake, that Precious Moments figure IS Vintage and totally allowed on Etsy.
TharSheBlows I don’t understand what you mean by calling out Martha LOL
How is that related to Etsy?
here are 15 more SHOPS NOTHING BUT made in china crap from HOBBY LOBBY
NOT VINTAGE OR HANDMADE PERIOD WHO ARE YOU KIDDING
