Sequin Headbands

20 Aug

So I’m not really sure where to put this stuff but It’s getting really irritating! I found just two right next to each other at first while looking for sequin headbands and upon further investigation found an unbelievable amount of the same crap!

Not to mention that if you look between the photos in each listing the different photos in one listing will have a different headband from one to the next, makes me wonder if they’re even using their own pictures!

That’s what you get when something becomes a cheap wedding trend.

They’re probably buying the center piece and attaching them to headbands. Most of the flower headbands I come across on Etsy seem to be made this way. There are, of course, some people who make their own flowers and everything else, but this seems to be the headband equivalent to charm on a chain.

Or, rather than charm on a chain, it’s more like gluing a cabochon onto a ring base.

IMO those babies look ridiculous in those gigantic flower bands! What ever happened to cute little baby bonnets?

guess I’m old-fashioned, but they are way over the top as far as baby accessories go.

And yes, I think they are the baby example of charm on a chain!

I don’t know how people can sell these choking hazards with a care in the world. They are really setting themselves up for a problem. But like everything else on etsy, greed is paramount.

Those babies look embarrassed to be wearing those silly things.

For some reason I just can’t get all worked up about this one.
    Maybe I’m slipping,
or , maybe I am loosing the ability to even care about Etsy anymore?
If someone wants to Hot Glue crap on a headband,
open a jumpring & apply a charm to a chain or ( the FP equivalent)
wrap a colored stone in wire,over&over&over&over&over&over..
glue clipart to a square of glass.
or cricut a bunch of paper and call it a supply,
    same as it ever was.

Etsy is becoming smaller & smaller in my rear view mirror.

I’m tired of the same crap on Etsy. I found a few artisans I love and contacted them via convo to ask if they would sell outside of Etsy as I refuse to give Etsy one more dime as a buyer. Everyone of them gave me their private emails and were more than happy for the outside sales. I could handle Etsy more if they would just admit they allow resellers and move on like Artfire does but their continued support of resellers on the front page and the same sellers on the front page over and over again have made me tired of even going to Etsy.

You can buy sequin headbands at our grocery store for 2 for $3. They are made by a company called Tim Tam.

This one I can actually understand. It’s probably a pattern or idea from a book that they both used.

OOPS, I meant Tiff N Tam, not Tim Tim. I always get it wrong.

I don’t know about this one… Yes, they do look similar but not exact, for the most part. It is probably a pattern in a book OR a similar design. Perhaps this is a trend in the making of headbands. I think some of those headbands might be wholesale – but not all of them.
