Please take a moment and review this shop below.

They claim that their rings are cast from antique jewelry, listed as vintage 80s items. What a joke! That’s not vintage, or close to it. If their items are antique then why do they have multiple rings in the same color & design? Luck!? Old stock maybe?! We all know that even old stock from an estate have limited quantities and will have vintage storage wear. It gets even better, they sell true vintage items, only to hide the real truth. Very clever! Another big fat lie, they claim that some of their vintage rings were casted by an English silversmith. Fact: England never hallmark their jewelry 925.

Maybe this can help my case further,

    Thought 25-30+ was vintage?

  2. etsycallout November 23, 2011 at 8:50 am #

I think the poster’s point was the use of the word “antique” for the rings.
And then the other ones being made in 2005.

She overuses words like Victorian, antique, and French. Makes me think none of her items are any of those things.

The front page treasury right now has an item by the curator in it. Also, how can gifts be under $50 or under $25? Isn’t that just Under $50?

good point made. curator in her own treasury? very well thought out. is it under $25 or $50. i think it was to confuse us.

any item older then 1992 will pass for vintage. it’s very obvious that her rings are not, no matter how she writes her listing. but what really matters in the end, is what buyers go for. clearly they like her stuff no matter if they are “true” vintage or not. besides, etsy is making $$$ from it too : )

it’s clear that etsy has their own hidden agenda. who do you blame, the sellers or the one who allows it all to happen?

The E-hole has rules to fit every situation, and every situation is private and can’t be discussed, so then you can’t see the blatant favoritism or bullying outright, but its always there…

On the front page right now…

    With this lovely item..

    from this shop:

It looks like a cheap shop at a mall. I am on my way out the door so I don’t have time to do the research, but it looks pretty re-seller-y to me. Hate it when they get in the Front Page, how hard is it for Etsy to pay attention to that stuff?!

  11. Life During Wartime November 27, 2011 at 11:17 pm #

The item has been oopsied from Etsy, and all the shops items have been disappeared.

But it can be seen in the image of the treasury on Craft Cult:

WJW, how more obvious could a reseller item be?

I have had a bad experience with this seller. I purchased a ring set from her. 3 weeks after purchasing one of the stones fell out. Upon notifying her, she said she would make good and to send the ring back. I sent the wedding band back in December. She was going to have it fixed. After several convos back and forth, I still have not gotteen the ring back and now her shop is closed. I am stuck with half a ring set and no way to contact her.

I recently purchased a ring from her. If you really read her listings, they indicate, in very round about wording, that the rings arent really antique. I didnt really catch that until after the ring arrived, and it clearly was new. I checked into her sales, and notcied my ring was sold many times. I then reread the listing, and notcied key words Id glazed over. Yep, I fell for the title, the talkabout and all that jazz. But really, I have no one else but myself to blame because I didnt take the time to really READ.

Anywho, her shop was closed by Etsy really recently, like 2-3 weeks ago. I contacted her, just to see what was up, and because despite feeling somewhat duped her prices were decent, and there was another ring for like $30 that I thought my 13 year old cousin would like. And if any of you shop for a teenager…I was willing to be slightly screwed if it meant finding a good gift.

She did write me back, claiming she hadnt responded to a few Etsy emails that went to her Spam, so they shut her down. She BEGGED me to write Etsy and ask to reinstate her. She actually wrote me quite a few long replies, I still have them. She tried to open another Etsy shop as White Oleander, but they caught on and shut her down within a few days.

I found this thread just doing a random goole search for Rusty Chandelier, just out of gossipy curiousity, because I came across our convos while writing to a few people on Etsy just now.

the reason why she is no longer a seller, is because she’s a scammer. she also sells on ebay. talk about greedy. she should be happy there, as that’s where her crappy jewelry belongs. she sells the same crap jewelry on ebay for way less, then on etsy. why? greedy!!!!!!!! that is why she begged you to help her. she made a killing on etsy, while the vintage sellers struggled my dear. i know, i’m one of them. hard working seller, working my BUT OFF! not only that, it took me over 2 months to get her out. they convo me in privet, that they will look into her shit. the next day, she was gone! yes, it was me who pushed her out of the coop. she lied to you my dear. you don’t get kicked off because you didn’t respond to people’s emails. lame. you get kicked off because you stink rotten eggs!

“White Oleander” my ass!!!!!! she’ll do anything to get back on etsy. but little does she know, i’m watching her like a hawk. i have direct contact with the “one” who booted her off in the first place. the only difference now, it will only require one email to set the bomb straight! LOL you had all your fun while i cried, but look who’s laughing now!
