    Tina Lau
    Shenzhen, Guangdong

The location says it all. Seems like a LOT of resellers are from there. And will over 600 sales, I doubt the greedy e-hole will want to kick out that money-maker….greedy green….

It must be a case of handmade by buying this charm, put it on a chain, then charge you 10X what I paid for it…

Here’s the new ‘Dumbledore’s Army’ necklace wholesale on AliExpress:

Also available from several Ebay sellers, all with the same exact chain and snakey dangle. Not handmade by Shinggift!

Here’s shininggift’s ‘vintage elk’ bracelet on Ali, using photos from the same ‘booze bottle’ photo shoot that she has in her listings. There is no way an Etsy shop could have access to photos from the same photo shoot — related but not identical — unless both shininggift and Ali are getting access to the photos from the manufacturer.

    More Snitches Bitches!

here are more links I found

The entire shop is resale wholesale items that can be bought for less than 5cents each over the internet. Here are several of the items listed in this shop even though the entire shop can be found on Alibaba.
I think it’s disgusting and outrageous that this type of behavior is allowed to continue. This shop has been doing this since June of 2011.

it is not buying this charm and puting it on this chain, those necklaces are sold as necklaces from the wholesaler I have purchased many of them that I add beads and charms to and sell at craft shows, if I had known I could just sell them as is on etsy maybe I would have 5000 sales or 9000 sales like a shop they just shut down ( k kidding about selling them) I made some treasuries that all have shining gift in them it is so obvious a monkey could figure out which one is the reseller not sure why a company that made 40 million dollars last month can’t figure it out!!!!

More fauxtiques: Look how many she’s sold using VivaTerra’s photo. Found her from today’s etsy finds where she has another product.

I mean “faux handmade” (not fauxtiques).

I’ve been SILENCED!! I made beautiful treasuries folling all of etsy’s rules and they took them down!! I actually expected it. I find it almost comical that they would remove all my 10 treasuries but didn’t remove one of the resellers that were in it??? does this make sense?? MORONS!!!! go ETSY keep up the good work, beat down the little guys and let the resellers run wild!!

  12. Life During Wartime December 6, 2011 at 3:10 pm #

Heather, I am surprised that Etsy left those treasuries active with all the reseller jewelry for as long as they did. Other community members have curated similar treasuries for the same reason, and gotten spanked for it.

Etsy knows that these shops are reselling, no doubt in my mind. Etsy is now the biggest online presence for these mass manufactured jewelry shops outside of Asia. Ebay and the rest of the sites that allow reselling move very little product compared to Etsy. Sellers on Amazon are going for a wider selection of colors (like on the enameled pieces or pieces with rhinestones) which seldom or never appear in the Etsy reseller shops. The Chinese jewelry sweatshops are dumping their cheapest product on Etsy, and Etsy is ignorimg ths.

shit. almost 4700 sales since opening june 17, 2011.

I didn’t really care much about jewelry resellers until the day I went searching for peacock feathers and what with Relevancy search, got an entire page of peacock jewelry that was all the same. I had no idea how bad it was. Although since I’ve kept track, there are new shops opening every day with the same crap. Absolutely I agree that Etsy is aware of this, they must be sick of owl (fox, robot, peacock, camera) charms as much as we are.

Its a bit harder to catch those that rephotograph the items or Charm on Chain people who swap out the chain and then sell it at a huge markup. Like
    American for $24. 00
Or buy it from chinese reseller for $12.00

sure makes you feel a little defeated and, they should just say what they really are ( a different kind of market place, or a unique market place) and be done, no more flagging or reporting or bla bla bla. it seems pointless when you do what they ask you to do and then even go further and give them the wholesalers, all their other selling sites, all the links etc and they still do nothing:-(

its sad I get alot of supplies from overseas, some of the same companies they are and at this point I feel like why waste an hour making a nice necklace or pair of earring I can get a cute charm and necklace for 68 cents add little bead or bauble and rake it in, I could sell them for 5.00 and free shipping and still be making a mad profit……maybe if I can’t beat em, I should join em !! 9000 sales x $5.00 is 45,000 that would look good in my bank account right now.

when I started paying attention to the situation I felt like I could make a difference and get these guys shut down, but now after reading all the threads and all of the archives from here ( yes I read every one) maybe I should put my efforts into something else, it all comes down to money and I garuntee the new guy in charge is going to have to show why his company is worth 300 million!! rant over:-)

Heather, I understand, but I will keep reporting resellers. Today, my homework is 5 stores. One question, in order to close the whole store, one must report each and every item?

  18. heather December 7, 2011 at 11:35 pm #

luisamila, you actually are only supposed to report the shop or a single item, not every item, but hery they are not following the rules why should we?? ok bad attitude there we should follow the rules but I would really like to report every item just to be a turd:-)

New item recently listed by Shininggift, now on Ali:
Her 5th photo matches the first photo on Ali. Factory item.

I thought you would all like to know that the snitch lockets are in the taste test, along with the rhinestone deer head chained bracelet — the photo in the test is straight off of AliExpress!

WCJ, this is the manufacturer of the ‘heart wing necklace’ which is listed in your comment:

Looking through their products, I see a lot of items common to several resellers on Etsy.

I am thinking rather than document distributors on Ebay or the Ali sites, we should start documenting the makers.
