    She admits that she cut off the straps! Nothing at all about when they were made… I might be wrong but the colored soles is a recent thing.

    Pam, the seller of the betsey johnson shoes says she didn’t want to alter them, so she may have found them in a thrift with the straps already removed. I guess on Etsy, thrift store = vintage.

    well as we all know alter is a very grey term on etsy cutting the strap off a betsy johnson shoe is etsy legal as they say:-)

    The pumps are being sold as vintage, though, not handmade (altered). No way they are 20+ years old.

    Well, I reported them again but with this comment: “What a shame this place is nothing more than a yard sale with horrific prices. The printed sole is a NEW practice. These are NOT VINTAGE. How VERY EBay you all are getting. Time to close up shop here I think I don’t need my hard work slopped in with JUNK.”
    I don’t think it will do any good except to make me feel a little bit better.
