Thaisaket, earringchest

A word to the poster of this- you simply post in the comments or email us but you don’t need to copy and paste your message over and over. Once is fine. Thanks! -ECO

I am not sure how I can be a member to post here. I thought etsy had 1300 people reporting and wanted more, after I reported this person they kicked me off. All his stuff comes off wholesale websites, its so obvious. What do I have to do to get some help or get him on the reseller list on this site?

Here is the info on the shops Thaisaket and earringchest, they blatantly sell stuff off websites. All the stuff is handmade in China, however, they employ 14-17 year olds and pay them $80 to $100 a month. They sleep and eat in the factories. It is believed that younger people are sharper and put more work out, especially women. Help out to report this person. All the information is there about the websites they buy from. Earrings from Bali and Clothing from Thailand and China is some of the worst resellers on etsy. Just read the stupid feedbacks, things like, poor quality, (sure, it was $5 or less and you paid $35-$50 plus $20 shipping) or, size was wrong (sure it was, they try to sell you the fact it fits everybody, but in fact, it dont. They don’t bother to get rid of the neutrals and negs because they sell enough, its OK for some people to get screwed. Or slow shopping,(sure it was, in some cases, they dont have the money to carry merchandise, they have to go find it when they sell it) Look at Thaisaket, the stock numbers are almost the same as on the wholesale website. You know what that means……. this site may not have the item in stock!!!!! Look at the data, does this not make you mad that you are buying $5 items for $50? How about the earrings, $1-$2 each and you pay $8-$!5. Just enjoy wasting your money! If you don’t report them, your friends and esty family will become victims of this reseller. It must be addictive to lose money, right?

Don’t forget to call out these shops, I have an update. Thaisaket on etsy just opened anyonesfashion, claiming to ship from the USA, when in fact the people claim to be making stuff in Thailand. All of his clothing is bought at this shop who has a website. http://www.weloveshopping.com/shop/s_product.php?page=5&shopid=112738&groupproduct=all This shop is across from the UOB bank in Pratunam Market, in the basement, it is a pink shop. here is the info of what you can find shipping in this market. Rising an impressive 88 storeys high, the Baiyoke Sky Hotel is Thailand’s tallest building. A distinctive feature of Bangkok’s skyline, it also marks the spot for one of the city’s all-time, favourite pursuits: Shopping! A scandalous variety of goods are on offer, with something for everyone – no matter how deep or shallow your pocket may be. One of Bangkok’s most colourful and chaotic areas, and famously popular for its fashion factory outlets, street markets, bazaars and armies of local vendors, Pratunam offers bargain prices for all kinds of clothing, apparel, fashion accessories, shoes, watches, jewellery, belts, luggage and then some. Read more: Pratunam Information Guide http://www.bangkok.com/pratunam/#ixzz1ldTC9xLi so, feel free to report this shop. Why should this person sell $1000 a day and only resell? They have an earring shop also. Look up earringchest on etsy. All of their earrings can be found on this site. He shops here also, http://chaotictrading.com/category.php?cat_id=4 and here http://organicbodypiercing.com But look here, almost all his earrings can be found here! http://www.bodytouchonline.com All of these shops for earrings are located on Khao San Road a tourist area where you can find wholesale clothing, jewelry, silver, cheap food and hotels. Check the sites, you will see most of his earrings he says he makes on these sites. Peace and Love, Raven I have an update also. All his clothing on Thaisaket, and they now sell $2000 a day, came from a wholesale shop in thailand called “Chicky” There are photos of his clothing in one article about this shop.

Geez! I am so disgusted! I buy from small shops and i don’t buy this kind of merchandise, but i bet some of it is in my circles or favorites from other people! It’s way too hard for the small shops to show up on etsy now thanks to all of these cheaters who are taking up way too much space on etsy and getting too much attention due to their popularity!
I think etsy needs a dose of the transparency that’s been such a buzzword these last few years!

    http://www.etsy.com/shop/iCanvasART

Their website (usefully mentioned in their profile), says: “Company Size: 80 hard working individuals. Nonstop copyright violation, and almost everything bizarrely categorized as “Banksy Graffiti Art”.

    Vintage, according to Etsy:
    http://www.etsy.com/listing/89470769/turquoise-deer-antler?ref=fp_treasury_1#

  4. jobradley February 25, 2012 at 8:01 pm #

How does the tacky deer antler seller know this 2 year old deer antler is at least 20 years old and can be called vintage? Why would this item be chosen for 7 treasuries within 24 hours? It made me notice another faux item in the dead animal department: http://www.etsy.com/listing/83271340/wild-boar-skull-w-24k-gold-tusks
seller says they hand made it and its available from the cast replica company BoneClones.com http://www.boneclones.com/BC-251.htm

Also, icanvasART.com, per their website “about us” is in a new (multimillion dollar) warehouse and office space! The etsy shop is bait to get you into their dot com shop.

couldn’t sleep tonight so I get up and check into etsy only to see right on the front page a big ol reselller, and not one of those charm on a chain maybe it is maybe it isn’t, these rugs are made in Nepal there are 4 people on etsy all selling the same exact items all made from the same places…..disgusting!!! I have reported them all and nothing has happened because they are a very popular item and have been featured alot of places so etsy clearly pick publicity over the rules…….nice!!! http://www.etsy.com/treasury/MTA4MDAzNDV8MjI2MTM1NjI3NA/color-never-goes-out-of-style

Item from today’s Get the Hook Decor:
    http://www.etsy.com/listing/92466868/tall-yellow-ceramic-ginger-jar-modern#
1990s lamp, actually late 90s rather than 1992 or earlier, but tagged
antique, 1960, 1970….WTF? How can an item probably not even 20 years old be tagged legally as ‘antique’?

  8. JK February 26, 2012 at 12:36 pm #

LDW, to a lot of kids the age of the average Etsy admin, the *1980s* were forever ago, so surely something that looks like it might possibly maybe could-be from the distant stone age that was the 1960s must be an antique!😉

In one particular category of things I collect the word ‘antique’ has about as much meaning as Etsy’s Marketplace Integrity team, and I see things dating to the 1980s -and listed as such- tagged ‘antique’ all the time. It’s to the point where I’ve taken my shopping money elsewhere for those items because it’s impossible to find what I actually want to buy in all the mis-tagged dreck; sorry, all you genuine vintage sellers over there who take pride in doing things right.

  9. Life During Wartime February 26, 2012 at 1:50 pm #

JK, I agree. The 80s were like 30 years ago now, and that is more than a generation ago. I just realized that lamp could actually be 21st Century. Martha Stewart produced an extensive line (many colors and sizes) of solid color ceramic ginger jar lamps for K-MART circa 2000. I wandered in there (not my typical haunt) to pick up some shelf and drawer paper for my mom’s new house in Summer 2001, and saw hundreds of them on the shelves. Martha didn’t pull that trend out of thin air.

    some “vintage” gems… http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheRobertsTreehouse?ref=pr_shop_more

  11. AEM February 26, 2012 at 8:04 pm #

Glad I saw a link to this blog – I have found this information amazing, yet very sad for the hard working Etsian. Which I am one of them! There is a shop that I have wondered about and if it is considered a reseller. Is there someone I can email this shop name and see what they can dig up on this particular shop? The investigating is amazing here!

  12. Yellshe February 27, 2012 at 12:08 am #

    another fun link
    http://www.etsy.com/shop/ChloeSanFrancisco?ref=seller_info

you know its funny how a quick google search can tell you when a brand like ella moss was founded… 2001… wait that’s not vintage.

  13. DonCholodecki February 27, 2012 at 4:42 am #

There is NOTHING in that shop that is vintage, Yellshe. Good find. That is all 2-3 year old stuff.

  14. Life During Wartime February 27, 2012 at 10:37 am #

Etsy should have bots searching for the names of contemporary brands to find these shops without us reporting them. And why does it take Etsy weeks to close them down? Are the staffers looking for a way to make a 5 year old item, at best, vintage?

  15. Yellshe February 27, 2012 at 10:49 am #

I know! I can literally type in any brand name Anthropologie carries, and any other popular store and find used items. It’s like Etsbay!

  16. Life During Wartime February 27, 2012 at 1:49 pm #

Yellshe, if you can find it, than Etsy can program a bot to find it, too. Every day a report of new listings mentioning any of those new brands should be available for the staff to investigate. If the item for sale is a newish branded commercial product, unaltered, then the listing gets removed, and the seller gets a warning. After a certain number of warnings, the shop is closed. I know the resellers rejoice that I am not the goddess of integrity on Etsy.

  17. Cracking Me Up February 27, 2012 at 2:16 pm #

Totally off topic, but Regretsy just re-printed the hilarious “instant collection” from The Old Red Hen last year and subsequent cease-and-desist letter. I popped in to that shop and found vintage plates for sale “Free of Chips or Cracks – However There are Hairline Cracks.”

    http://www.etsy.com/listing/94001881/vintage-red-and-white-transferware

40 bucks ($54.50 w/shipping) for 3 cracked plates, also with “inky black” and “yellowing” to boot. Wow.

  18. JK February 27, 2012 at 3:17 pm #

But the pictures are creamy-dreamy, Cracking, so some fool with more money than sense will probably snap them up, sadly.

  19. resellonetsy March 2, 2012 at 3:34 pm #

Actually there is a mess up in this post, the company is Theearringchest, when they found out people were trailing them, they changed their name! This is the link!

    http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheEarringChest

Thaisaket now opened this shop also, http://www.etsy.com/shop/AnyonesFashion

  20. resellonetsy March 2, 2012 at 3:36 pm #

Please fix the post about earringchest,
the site changed its name to Theearringchest to avoid being followed by bad publicity.

    Thankyou!

Also, I am so happy you are alive and working. Before, I thought this site was not alive!

  21. Etsy lover March 2, 2012 at 8:31 pm #

Yes, I know the shop you are talking about. They are out of Bangkok Thailand. They did change their name to “The Earring Chest” And have not used the name “Earring Chest” in over a year or so, EarringChest is some other poor guy or girl catching a headache over a recycled name.
TheEarringChest also claims to be selling a ivory item that is fake for $199. They are a reseller and do not make or even modify items at all. They have huge sales, close to 20 pairs of earrings a day. His hands must be sore from all of that carving. Remember this is on top of his 30 dresses he sells a day and claims to make on his clothing stores. He also claims his name is “Pornphan” or porn fan, just laughing in peoples faces. While the woman claims her name is lai on one site and walai on the other site. Please help save Etsy and true artists. Let Etsy know how you feel about ThaiSaket, AnyOnesFashion, And TheEarringChest.
On that note there is also other earring stores on Etsy called PrimalOriginals who is actually primal-style.com and TribalStyle who is coconutjewelry.com both resellers and huge corporations not artists or carvers. Sickening

  22. etsyhomemade March 3, 2012 at 6:03 am #

Hello All! It was kind of weird to see you guys talking about Thaisaket. The reason I say that is because about 3 weeks ago I bought a dress (well it was 6 weeks ago I bought it and it arrived 3 weeks ago)- slow slow shipping… Well anyhow, the reason I am posting is because when I received the dress it was clearly made in Pakistan. Thaisaket said they made the dress themselves but it came from a manufacturer in Pakistan (I have the dang Tag) which really made me upset. After reading the post above I went to http://www.weloveshopping.com and the dress was on their website for 20% of what I paid for it. It was CLEARLY re-sold to me. How do we get Thaisaket kicked off ETSY for good. He/She is lying and ripping people off! Sick. I reported them and I think we all should!

  23. True Artist March 3, 2012 at 1:23 pm #

Wowwie zowwie, I have been keeping up on the Etsy shop TheEarringChest for a little while now and I am so glad I found this blog on WordPress. How this store has been open for a year now under this name is mind boggling and here is why.
The Earring Chest has all of the most basic carvings on the market. Do you think they copy other peoples designs? NO, these are bought at wholesale and resold. Most of the items are bought from a guy named John A major wholesaler in indonesia who owns a trading company called body touch. These are basic styles and John does not even carve them in-house, He outsources a team of carvers and doubles his money on near slave labor. How do I know this? My sister buys from this trading company because the product is cheap and they are not in the united states so she does not have to have a business license or anything like that, she sells at swap meets where she just pays a “space” rent for a day to make a quick buck. I told her she is hurting people by supporting this!
How do I know they abuse their carvers? I spoke with- “the ministry of coopeartive for small home industries” which is the organization that tries to keep people working over there and here is what they told me…
the style of these earring is very basic, you can see the grade of carvers when they start making carving , for this type of carvers , even some small child can also making it , there are a lot in some places the 10 years old making it , so its a kind of sweat shop .. sadly to say , still happen in some places , and they got paid really low ..
So how much do they make you ask? Well I asked that question and he is the answer-Just a little info that most of the people on internet that you can contact is not the real makers, they are either a shop owner of an art shop or the trading company and they are the one who give assignment to a small artisans like us, but sadly to say but they are really the one whose pushing the price just to get more profit for them and left a few cents for us..
So why is The Earring Chest charging so much for these? Greed and because they can and have got away with it for a year now, Sales are steady and there has been no repercussion, The store has not been shut down, Their ego goes up with every sale and the profit margins are in the multiple hundreds of percent. Also They sell a few pairs of earrings on the other site Thaisaket… Same story All the clothing is bought in thailand and
resold on Etsy. I would have never thought to link these shops up until this blog brought it to my attention and now it makes sense. A hippie friend of mine had bought some wild baggy pants looking things from ThaiSaket and A girl I go to college with bought some earrings from The Earring Chest and I contacted them just now to ask the question. Where did these ship from? To see if this was far fetched. Here is the info they both gave me a couple named mark & lai .The package was stamped with a rubber stamp return address to their thailand home. With a google search comes back to a apartment. Wow! So they claim one person is grinding away at hundreds of pairs of earrings (in a apartment) and the other is sewing hundreds of dresses (in a apartment) in addition to shipping out all these items, posting new items, and so on. So on top of this they claim to has a sister store AnyOnesFashion on Etsy. Here we go again but this shop claims shipping from the U.S.A.? I need not go on. Have A great day🙂

  24. abraham March 4, 2012 at 4:56 am #

Resellers on Etsy- in the same categories you are speaking of are

    Thaisaket
    Pinksandcloset
    Theearringchest
    Anyonesfashion
    Primaloriginals
    Tribalstyle

  25. David Jacobs March 6, 2012 at 6:26 am #

Hey all, I normally browse wordpress and most things don’t deserve a comment but this column and posts are off the hook! Seems as if there are a few angry folk in here. 1st off I guess most were kicked from a site called Etsy. Took a look there too just for fun. What is all the crying about? I would like to direct a few questions to the seller who started this blog. What did you sell? Why were you kicked out? Did you pull some shenanigans or break some serious rules?

I see that most in here are complaining of other issues. I also see loads of incorrect information contained here. Funny but sad that so much time is put to waste. There is much charity work that could be done. Volunteer for a good cause. Heck even chat on facebook or something. I also never see the word alleged used (a bigger issue). Some things looking similar only implies a similar design or copy perhaps and doubtful that these traditional things or clothing are copyright protected. Just seems like a typical case of a disgruntled individual who was kicked from this same area these people sell in. Just an assumption but wow how sad.

Once again I would like to ask the original kicked seller why they were kicked and what they sold. Very intriguing to say the least.

  26. Life During Wartime March 6, 2012 at 12:30 pm #

David, your assumption that all people calling out were given the boot by Etsy is way off. I can speak for myself, at least.

I am not sure how the word alleged can be used about a seller who discloses in their own shop or listings that they do not make the item(s) they list for sale as handmade, or that their items listed as vintage have a brand name less than 20 years old. The blog owner does remove posts about sellers who are found to be called out for no good reason.

  27. David Jacobs March 6, 2012 at 12:50 pm #

Well for all appearances sake they do state they make them at least at the chest one. They even show some photo’s in the logo of production. Just funny. The original seller who (was) kicked has not responded either. What the heck are dragon tattoo or liz salender earrings? Seems as many are selling those but not the chest shop. I also in the meantime took the time to read the profiles for the ones mentioned here and they again state they are making them. There is one I came accross with no profile, and many shops selling many things different. There handle is organicethnic they have links to many shops in Spain called tocamadera or something. It is in all their listings. Anyway I just find all this interesting, and wanted to hear why the original seller was kicked, how many shops they had, and what they sold. Oh well. Just seems like a person with something to grind. Have a good day and thanks.

  28. David Jacobs March 7, 2012 at 6:06 am #

Hi again all, Well this is now very interesting. The original X-Etsy seller that posted this over and over again apparently does not want anyone to know what they were guilty of and why they were kicked (Their own admission). I smell a fly in the ointment here. A Red herring if you will. Someone can put anything that allegedly occurs on this site and then just walk away damaging many. Once again very strange and really funny. Again I ask once more. Why were they kicked, and what they sold, and how many user names they operated under. Seems there is more to this then they are willing to tell and perhaps the whole thing is incorrect. Similarity to similar product is just that and only that.

  29. resellonetsy March 7, 2012 at 7:35 pm #

I have been following this threads here. Probably this person does not know that Etsy has a team of 1300 people to call out resellers. The assumption that people got kicked off Etsy and then go bother some honest seller is ridiculous. When you make it to a blog like this, you are doing something wrong for sure. The owner of this blog has been doing this for some time. The issue here is if these sites are making their stuff or not. David is trying to draw attention away from what is said on this blog. There is a name in psychology for this. We looked at some of the sites in question today. The photos on TheEarringChest don’t prove anything. Everybody knows all these earrings are made in Bali. You would have to be retarded not to know that. They are all over the place.Your tone makes it sound like the people on this blog are crying about people because they got removed from Etsy.

Read everything back a year. You will see many artists and concerned people reporting their ideas about this. They want to change how Etsy operates. I don’t think it is about anything more than that. There are 1000s of people on Etsy reselling. It appears to be allowed. If thats what they want, then they will have to live with that. You expressed your opinion, now you will have to live with that. And you will be judged by other people that are trying to clean Etsy up, and there are many. I personally don’t sell on Etsy, but have consulted people who wanted to.

  30. Sonia Steinberg March 7, 2012 at 8:31 pm #

Interesting threads. Appears one person is trying to defend some of the sites. Wonder if he is on Etsy?

Thaisaket, runs feel good fashion, and you are saying the items are not like the other items resellers are selling cause you made them? Well almost all of anyonesfashion clothing can be found on Ebay, cheaper.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/220783619767#ht_1350wt_1063

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/110835634757#ht_1435wt_907

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/110835634757#ht_1435wt_907

One shop here ystreet fashion claims to be making the clothing, they are on Facebook.
So, who is making the clothing.

  31. David Jacobs March 8, 2012 at 8:15 am #

I did not say I doubt there are 1000’s of sellers on Etsy re-selling. I merely said that the (Original Poster) here has not answered any of the questions. You must be retarded not to see they are bitter about being removed. (THEY GOT KICKED OFF!) It is also as plain as the nose on there face that they must have sold in the same area. Why would they suddenly chose to target baby bibs if they did not sell those. I do really find it funny that no one posting this type of thing has any special training or credentials except to say that the owner of this site checks all things. Again is he an expert? I further find it an outright joke that anyone can just come in and post whatever they feel based solely on opinion or something they have a feeling about. Too many crystal ball toting witch hunters about. There are huge clothing sellers from China, and Thailand too. Idea2lifestyle and cocoricooo just to name a couple. Hey check out kolonclothes, pinnydream are just 2 of there 9 shops. Hell I bet there dog must sew clothes on his freetime. LOL. Just interesting and funny to that once again the person who started this thread does not want to face any questions on the actions that DID get them kicked. Not trying to lead in any direction just funny. Excuse me for being curious and finding something funny. If I was to chose a direction for all in here? It would be for all to Have a Great Day.

  32. Life During Wartime March 8, 2012 at 8:45 am #

Just a fact check here, but neither witch hunters nor those accused of being witches toted crystal balls.

  33. abraham March 8, 2012 at 12:08 pm #

    Attn: David Jacobs

Sir, looks like you are the one that is hiding behind a name to try to protect yourself.
The reason you are on this site is because you are a reseller, and if I made a educated guess I would say that you are really Mark from Thai Saket on Etsy posing as “David Jacobs”. People on this site want Etsy to be free or resellers. You can say what you want, but every reseller that gets called out on this site whines. People will judge on what they see. There are 100s of photos on the net showing the sweatshops that these kinds of earrings are made in. All one has to do is to look. If you think you are beyond reproach, you dare delusional. Everybody that joined this site reads the rules about etsy. One thing about the internet, you cannot hide what you are doing in your business. This is not a game for a lot of people. Artists are leaving Etsy in droves because they cannot compete with commercial sellers. Most of these people are hobbyist. I think it is unfair to hurt
these kinds of people who just want a little acknowledgement for what they are proud to do.
Come out and show your identity, Let us see your shop and your personal facebook page that was not created in the last 20 minutes. You sound like you know the original poster or think you do. Sounds to me like you have a very guilty conscious. Did you get some ones multiple stores shut down? Allegedly, maybe, or otherwise?!?!
If you are the shop owner of The Earring Chest I laugh and here is why, your comment Similarity to similar product, LOL… I was brought to this blog because I am a earring dealer, I research other sellers to see what is new and exciting. I know -and deal with-the people that admit to making the products on your store. Not similar products. They said YES we made those, do you want us to make you identical ones! Cut the crap. I don’t sell on Etsy, there is good money to be made just wholesaling to retailers. The Earring Chest should not sell on Etsy either, leave that site to artists. Thank you, Abraham

  34. David Jacobs March 8, 2012 at 9:32 pm #

Well Then this just proves 1 thing. The original poster who began this is a person who whines as they were removed from Etsy. I further suspect certain folks use more then one name to come in here and post to try and garnish even more attention. Not just in this post here either but far too many. Perhaps this is why the original seller kicked has not responded as they simply put on another costume and persona and post again and again as someone else. (Just a bit of dirty little truth there) I honestly hope the shop owners do come and take away these type of posts with facts about there businesses. They must have been scrutinized by Etsy for the time some of them have been there. The top earring seller for this type of thing is not even mentioned in here. They sell a heap to put it mildly and have been there along time. As to my job? Not that it is any of your business, but I am a consultant for improving website rank, relevance, web ceo, etc. etc. I sell no real product online but instead provide information to online sites and site owners. So again it seems crystal balls are most often incorrect. I did read a bit about the rules on Etsy to be there. A person can re-purpose or up-cycle anything as long as it fits Etsys formula. They can sell vintage, supplies, and so on as well. If you do not like there formula or rules? Start a Coop website of your own and make your own rules. Hell I will provide my services to you for free to assure you a good spot in Google search! Etsy and other sites like it will do as they see fit and it cannot be changed. There is far too much wrong with any site that allows people to sell things and it is no easy task for them to maintain. Just realize that the stripe comes with the Zebra and always will. Internet selling must be a nightmare to say the least. Enough time and comment has been plied to this site and or posts herein.

Plenty of money to be made but not from posting on these types of sites about something beyond your control. Make your own site then you can make your own way and own rule.
Even better if you volunteer to help others this is the way to benefit the world in a positive manner and light.

May you all find what you need and again have a great day.

  35. etsycallout March 9, 2012 at 8:02 am #

David- The person you are referring to is not posting again and again under different names. And I know, I get the IP’s of every comment here- even yours. SO… What are you talking about??

  36. resellonetsy March 9, 2012 at 9:24 am #

Sorry, we did not mean to post this twice. I slipped by hitting the wrong key on my PC and the screen and info all went away. If you got it already, disregard this posting.

    Hello,

My associate and I have finished digesting your latest posts. You seem to keep painting yourself as a victim of some person upset with getting kicked off of Etsy. You must have a huge ego to think you are even that important. There are much bigger fish in the sea, as you stated yourself. Our personal interest in resellers is the following. We have a forthcoming book on “Aggressive Behavior on the Internet in business”, and our research and investigations will be published in that. We will also analyze some of the resellers and how they responded to being called out. It will all be very interesting. From our little bit of research, people getting kicked off Etsy, either go back with new names and credit cards, new internet IPs, or they just wander off and do new things. You keep trying to divert attention off yourself, on to people seeking revenge, and other people that are reselling like you are. OK, we agree with something you said. There are big bank robbers stealing millions, then there are the ones robbing mom and pop stores. We understand you fall into the later category. You are in fact are keeping people that really make stuff from making money on etsy by taking the easy profitable way out. Etsy was not created to be scammed. In the beginning, I think they had honest intentions of running a clean site. Then politics slipped in, the politics of making money. People on our team, (other students) note how you operate. You attack certain sellers that you don’t like. You shadow their listings using different names and spamming keywords in your listings. Sometimes you copy their photostyles to look like them. You have a website where you post their clothing as you try to report them. Then after you get rid of these sellers, you buy their styles and post them. Like cocoricooo who you mentioned, we note you have been buying up some of their clothing and reselling them by shadowing their listings. If you want to argue this, we can post all the links in our next message. You seem to want to mention the big guy that is reselling on etsy and getting away with it, but you forgot to mention who. OK, lets look at them.
There are so many resellers now on etsy, it makes one wonder why they don’t split their site into two parts; (1) true artists and craftsmen and (2) commercial groups representing entities like corporate groups, large Chinese factories, sweat shops in poor countries, and everybody else that is obviously “not an artist”. But be assured that this will “never” happen, and now is a perfect time for resellers like you to act upon the loopholes available for doing business. If you think I am incorrect in my perceptions, simply go to etsy and look at one of their coveted top sellers “tribalstyle”, who sells $200,000 or more a year in tribal earrings. Please note you can find them right here; http://www.etsy.com/shop/TribalStyle. Now lets take a look at what they sold and what they say about themselves. This site has sold 23,534 pairs of earrings since 2-01-2010. So, according to their profile, they are just spreading some love and light around the planet in the form of tribal earrings handmade in the small country called Bali. They neglected to include this information in their profile, since it might upset people to know where the earrings really come from and how cheap the earrings are in that country. And another question, how long does it take to pack 600 – 1000 pairs of earrings a month? The rules of etsy say you have to make or have most of the control making your items, photos, packing, all factors involved. All of this is supposed to be noted in your profile. But this company operates out of the USA, right. Well, sort of, but lets look deeper. OK, wow! Here they are on Ebay, lets see how they are doing!
    stores.ebay.com/Tribal-Organic-Hand-Carved-Jewelry
    Looks like they joined Ebay 10-14-2010, and they only have 243 feedbacks from selling on Ebay! Bummer! I guess they did not get to spread much light and love on Ebay? In their store I would like to quote what they say about themselves. “Tribal Organics is a subsidiary of COCOLOCO Organic Jewelry” They also say they plan to plant trees if you buy earrings, how kind, how many trees did they plant for Etsy where the real money was made? So, it makes one wonder who these people really are. Check this website to find out;
    http://www.coconutjewelry.com/
WOW, here they are looking spiffy and rich! That is a long way from Cleveland, Ohio. Not only that, they say they are a corporation seeking money, and they have a warehouse in Calif. It also appears that many of the earrings showing on this site are sold all over etsy and Ebay, and the rest of the internet. Look at Theearringchest. Well, so much for handmade on etsy, right? In all honesty, why is there a lack of all this information on Etsy about “tribalstyle”? On etsy, selling earrings on Tribalstyle looks like a bunch of young girls having fun in the photos, right? You will also see photos of movie stars wearing earrings (spamming movie star photos,” The girl with the dragon tattoo”), the people probably dont know their photo is on Etsy but it has sold dozens of the same pair of earrings from the movie. We can pretty much see that re-selling earrings on etsy is pretty profitable, for some. Yes, I say for some, because some have been kicked off, and the ones making the most money are protected so they can stay and keep making money. Thats right! The more money you make for the big company, the less likely they will give you the boot! Did they tell etsy this was their team of artists working together under their control in Bali, a poor country to make several Americans richer on a site that is supposed to be for artists looking for a place where they can sell and not have to compete with large commercial groups in poor countries.
So there you go, and you are right, in the business of reselling earrings, Theearringchest pales under people that are obviously smarter, bigger, and richer. We note that after Theearringchest started to copy some of their styles by buying them from the same websites, Tribalstyle came back selling many of your styles to put your business in perspective. They are in the USA, so, that is a big plus for selling earrings.

You also mentioned China as reselling a lot of clothing. Almost all of the clothing on http://www.etsy.com/shop/thaisaket, and http://www.etsy.com/shop/AnyonesFashion is made in China, not in Thailand. Our take on Anyonesfashion is that the new name of the store was made so that they could try to kick off other etsy resellers, then go and buy and post their popular items as though they made them. Yes, very clever, very aggressive business, and as a reseller and it may be a good strategy. But remember, etsy just releases a message that they are trying to get rid of resellers and clean up the site. They are asking for help with that. Our future book or web book will address that issue. Getting kicked off easy is not a big deal. A new name, a new ATM card, a new computer connection, and you are back in business until somebody reports you again. You should do what you want to do. You are coming on way to strong about protecting resellers to be who you say you are. We think you are just a mad reseller. If you are interested in calling out resellers, this site can help your with that. If you are whining about being called out, there is no help for that. If you want to help with our research, we welcome you to contribute information you think is true and we might be able to use. Remember, Ebay is for resellers. Yes, some of the resellers on Etsy have huge sites on Ebay. In the future that could all change. Imagine if you will, Etsy converting back to their original plan. A site where people can make things at home to sell! Being on etsy means putting work into every item to be different. Some designs of earrings on Theearringchest can be found 20-50 times on the net. All the people on etsy are claiming they are cutting them and putting in posts, even though you can buy them already cut on numerous website. So, who do we are we to believe, a defensive reseller that got called out, or websites that keep making money from people like you selling it to you? Theearringchest and Thaisaket would have us believe that these two people, are designing clothing, making clothing that looks like everybody else, cutting earrings that look like everybody else and having time to run all these shops. Everybody knows what goes on in Thailand. Everybody knows that Thailand is full of shops that sell the stuff that is all over Etsy. Its a matter or priority. Do you want to be the problem, the cause of the problem, or the solution? You asked for the original people to come out. OK, we now have told you what we are doing. These sites are now labeled as reseller sites by people that are concerned about doing business on Etsy. Not one person, but many people have joined in the fight to clean up etsy. Thankyou for your offers, however, we already have experts in web communication in our group of friends.
Theearringchest, and Thaisaket in fact appear not to be victims, but predators on the hunt. We also have to wonder if this is the same outfit and run by the same person or persons?

I have not been in the USA for a couple months, my mom in Canada was ill. I just got back and reading all of these threads. David Jacobs is about the only person here that makes no sense at all. He is looking for people that got kicked off of etsy that seem to be on his case? How dumb. Why would people even want to be on etsy? Its mostly con artists and dishonest sellers that probably lost their jobs at the salvation army. I heard from a friend that Primaloriginals is run by some 68 year old spinster? The thing that is clear about this person is he evades linking himself with etsy. He tries to distract people from the real issues. Your company will be gone, its just a matter of time. As more people sell your same items you are reselling, you will sell less and less, not to mention you reside in Thailand, a place “not to be trusted”.
