GinnysDollhouse

14 Jun
MIDS team are desperate, this is like seeing a mass produced dollhouse store sitting in our handmade category.
We began flagging the first day before any sales, we have provided links, the seller didn’t even pretend to be making things herself to begin with (example the china was made by Reutter in Germany)  – in fact even without links or any knowledge of the subject anyone can see she doesn’t make everything as some are so obviously mass produced items.
When the shop was empty after a couple of weeks we thought Etsy had at last acted but now it looks like they only told her to remove where she said the company and country of manufacturer so her items “look” handmade. Some items were re-located to supplies. As finished dollhouse items these are specifically named as not qualifying as supplies. Vintage marked items only means the style is vintage (common in the dollhouse hobby).
Its been there a month now and more annoying to everyone is that she is getting more sales than a handmade seller who is new. In fact more than most who have been there a long time.
.
Please can you help draw attention to this for us.? Thanks
Collectors recognise most of the items being offered for sale as regular mass produced or cheaply made in Thailand (plants, food etc.)
Some has been sourced and evidence supplied – it would take days to find it all. We did a selection of the different types of items as examples.
Bespaq hand-painted furniture is sold by Bespaq ready hand-painted, they are a manufacturer of a vast range of high quality furniture. This reseller stocks Bespaq.
Just a couple of examples on Etsy
One example of a web site selling Bespaq including some of their hand painted furniture.
Most of the porcelain is by Reutter, Germany – just one example

When those of us who really make our items spend a lot of time supplying evidence like this to Etsy we really expect more from them than being ignored – we have done all their work for them.
Maybe if you do a post Etsy might sit up and take some notice at last.
Thanks.
